| So, I recently read the popular article on mmosite.com entitled "Will MS Be Replaced?". It had some relevant info on the game, accompanied with some nice pics...however... No one should really expect a clone (since that appears to be what WS is) of Maple Story to do better than Maple Story. MS has around 3million registered users in North America alone. 3 million. 3 Million! Given that there are more people in SEA (including thailand, japan, korea, china)...you could be looking at up to 16million players in total. Wind Slayer may be a really cool clone, with better proportioned characters and more classes or items to choose from, but unless the producers pay gamers to play WS, it seems highly unlikely that a simple re-installment will shatter a 10million + hardcore fan base. Honestly? I would put money on Dragonica. It takes the idea of MS, but makes it 3d (in case you didn't know =P) I think that has waaaaay more potential than Wind Slayer. So, not to diss MMOsite, but gaming logic seems to indicate that Dragonica will give MS a run for its money, not WS. Sorry dudes. Peace! |
