Dead Space is an 3rd person surivial horror game, where the player controls a engineer name Issac Clarke (its an combination of two best selling science fiction writers, Issac Asimov and Authur C. Clarke.) who baties an polymorphic virus, that mutates the host and turns them into an alien monster called a Necromorphs.

Dead Space is the first game that removes the traditional heads-up display but is replaced by holographic displays that the player can actually read without squinting our eyes at the screen figuring out what the item is.

The combat system becomes truly complex because the Necromorphs don't die if u shoot them at the body, only way to fully destory them is by shoot their limbs off. Even if you managed to shoot off their legs they would simple change their style of attack and making them harder to kill.

I say this game is fantastic because it runs without any problems with the framerate dropping or having issues while loading new areas. The only thing i encountered with this game is the a graphic glitch that makes hair look like its really long than it should be but i fix it by playing around with option menu. Also i consider u try playing this game with an gamepad because it much easier to do certain things...XD
