MGS4 assistant producer talks next game, hints at possibility of prequel We’ve been told time and time again that Metal Gear Solid 4 is the closing part of the Solid Snake story – but assistant producer Ryan Payton has reaffirmed that fact that there’s likely to be more Metal Gear ahead.
Speaking to 1UP, Payton insisted that whilst MGS4 was the closing chapter for the series’ leading man, Solid Snake, there’s plenty more in the game’s universe that can be explored – including the back-story to main villain Big Boss.
"There are some misunderstandings that this is the final Metal Gear game. But it's really the final chapter of the Solid Snake story. That's all. There is still a lot of room for filling in the gaps as far as Big Boss is concerned.
"I'm happy we could wrap up Snake's story in MGS4 because it gets to the point where if we continue on with Metal Gear Solid 5 with more Solid Snake adventures, we'll get to the point where the game has absolutely no basis in reality.
“I do like the idea that this character has had four or five big missions and then that's when it ended, rather than have 20 missions where there's no

Svein Erik "Sharum" Jenset from FuncomOslo was recently on the official Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures forum where he discussed some of the issues surrounding in-game mounts in the PC version of the game and gave out a few tips for players as well. First up, he discussed what is currently, one of the hottest topics on the forums: mount speeds. He explained that there were a few bugs regarding mount movement speed (when the game first came out, mounts moved at the same speed as the player) but they have already resolved this issue. In addition, he added that the recent patch for the game has increased the movement speeds of horses, rhinos, and mammoths in the game. This pretty much means that moving around with them should be much better than before. He also addressed the players who have reported that the use of both the Rhino and Mammoth mounts in the game are too specialized. Jenset explained that these mounts were, from the initial conceptualization, specialized to begin with and that the developers don't want to make any changes to it until more members of the community are taking part in siege warfare: These mounts were, from the start, designed to be a fearsome wea

Word has it that a big showdown will be happening this high noon on the Cabal Online servers in Europe. Nope, there won't be any cowboys facing off against one another on a dusty street. Instead, Games-Masters recently announced the end of the Closed Beta Testing phase for the game and will be implementing the new Open Beta access this noon. There will be several small, necessary updates implemented to the client during this time. At the moment, there is a technical issue which prevents users from downloading stuff from the local servers at maximum speed. This will most likely cause major slowdowns during the updating process. However, the developers are working hard to correct this problem and assured everyone that it will be solved very soon. In the meantime, make sure your connection is freed up and ready to receive the latest updates for the Open Beta phase of Cabal Online. We'll be sure to keep everyone up to speed on the latest news regarding Cabal Online, so keep yourselves tuned into this site for more updates.

It seems that Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures (an Xbox 360 version is in the works) has already drawn the attention of the more unsavory denizens of the internet - so much so that Funcom has released a warning to gamers about phishing and scam attempts. According to a post by Funcom on the official Age of Conan forums, there have been a number of attempts to get users to enter their user details on websites other than the official registration page (Always remember to check the URL in your browser very closely). Here are a few general guidelines from the developers that you should always keep in mind to help avoid getting scammed: - Funcom will NEVER ask you to enter your username and password anywhere else than in our registration page https://register.ageofconan.com
- No beta application will ask you for your login & password of your retail account
- No Funcom employee will ever ask you for your password
Once again, be careful with your Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures account details as it could mean that some scumbag will be walking off with all the hard-earned cash and gear you've been amassing or worse.

Building and managing virtual cities is one of those genres that doesn't seem to lose popularity. The SimCity series started in 1989, designed by Will Wright--also the creator of the Sims--and since then a slew of sequels and similar titles, including City Life and Caesar, have followed. Today, Electronic Arts announced a new game in the series for the Nintendo Wii and DS. Billed as an "accessible and light-hearted" title, SimCity Creator will let players customise their cities into a variety of regional styles. These will include American, Asian, and European city styles, although EA isn't prepared to get country specific just yet. The gameplay for the Wii version sounds as if it will be similar to previous titles in the SimCity series, with the gamer playing as the city mayor and allocating city zones in areas such as business, retail, or residential. There will be a redesigned interface for the Wii Remote, and "hero" buildings will also be available, with some becoming unlocked depending on the current day or the time period. SimCity Creator DS, on the other hand, will have players guiding their city from ancient times into the future. There will be four g
