In the last 2 weeks, we reformed our former ad&d team and had some rpg sessions.
Between the laughs and memories we had, we created 3 poem-like songs for our bard (yeap, we write his songs lol)
The Lonely Warrior
Â
He walked among us in a misty day
A young warrior on his trusted steed
His youth cast fire, despite the peril
A lonesome soul, a foolish heart
Â
He held his sword firmly by his side
The shinning edge like his pride
A stupid bet he must abide
For his word to honor, he must die
Â
The lonely warrior knows his end
To join death in a cast of dice
The lonely warrior is too pride
For help to ask, he never cries
Â
As he approaches the fiery cave
His heart pounds on the lava’s touch
The red serpent on eagle’s wings
Smells his dinner, licks his lips
Â
The brave warrior draws his weapon
A song of courage on his lips
Gods of war, of luck and of the brave
Have a look, pause the time
Â
The metal struck the serpent’s scales
A cling of pain, a clash of wills
The dragon breathes a fiery stream
The young warrior fells on his knees
Â
The lonely warrior knows he’s dying
Soon he’ll join death without the dice
The lonely warrior cursed his pride
For help to ask, now he cries
The marching
Â
The armies march down the hill
Clanging steel into the shields
Sing and shout the battle hymns
Gods of war, beware, victory is near
Â
They march in numbers
They march in strength
Wow into the enemies
Soon they’ll be dead
Â
The women run, the children cry
Metal boots echoes to the sky
Coats of arms are raised high
The marching army standing by
Â
The battle echoes through the night
Steel and fire are blazing bright
Bodies lay dead in pools of blood
Hands, feet and heads, a solid flood
Â
The battle ended a while ago
Only a handful remain to go
Thousands lay frozen to the ground
The rest alive and yet proud
Â
The marching army now returns
Another victory, some time of peace
Wives and sons are waiting home
The men to hug, a kiss to blow
Â
And I stood by the hill
Alive, and yet, thrilled
The soldiers’ duty is to obey
But how more will die in vain?
Â
Hope the king will find his heart
The marching army to abstract
Peace and songs and dance will come
With no steel and fire in hand
A knight’s duty
Â
Fires burn within the night
Flint and steel the only sounds
A heartbeat getting stronger
A knight getting colder
Â
For all he holds dear
He is not allowed to fear
The only thought is to his duty
The test to pass, to win the beauty
Â
He holds his breath
He draws his sword
He lowers his helm
And ask of redeem
Â
The young knight steps forward
Knowing no fear, not daring to submit
The monster lies ahead
A challenge he must face in order to win
Â
The fire is getting colder
The foe approaches in speed
A heart is getting stronger
Waiting to know defeat
Â
A breath that last forever
A hit that meant to kill
The knight standing still
Knowing no defeat
Â
His honor intact
His duty performed
His heart is lifting higher
The beauty he adore
Of course, these are "open source" :) Every bard is allowed to use them, hehe
