[Linzee]Class and play guide - Accretia

Category: Default Game: Default Posted on Nov 23, 2006 7:25 pm

Going to skip to Accretia for now.

Now Accretia's biggest advantage is their lack of magic. YES, that is an advantage.
Accretia have higher defense on their armor and they can find items that only Accretia can use which give a speed boost. The other races get this boost from a buff.
Now, you might be confused so let me explain one very important detail that might clear it up: You can only have a maximum of 8 buffs. So while Bellato spend 3 of those buff spots getting comparable to Accretia's armor(well slightly higher) and speed, Accretia have all 8 spots empty for more useful ones. This allows them to have more atack or defense related buffs to become more powerful. You'll often see that people don't even use their class-specific buffs as Cora/Bellato because they don't have the room with all the other buffs they need to have! Cora/Belalto will always at least use their dark/holy magic speed buff while Accretia move faster without that buff.
Keep the 8 buff max in mind no matter what race you pick when planning you class. You might want a class with one more useful buff than go the path of one that has 2 buffs that are better than one, but apart aren't. You will use buffs from your normal shared skills.
Maxed buffs typically last THIRTY minutes so they're almost like passive skills, except that people can remove them with magic.
Accretia also get Launchers. While these are less DPS than bows/guns at higher levels, they do do more damage with each shot. Siege kits are a launcher upgrade that give them more range and faster firing, however they must be deployed(takes a second or two) and once deployed you cannot move.

Warrior firstly of course. Now, Accretia warriors are great. All Accretia's armor is is about 20% higher defense than the other races. Also, their special skills are great. At Level 30 you can pick from Destroyer and Gladius.

  • - Destroyer has an attack skill just like any other called Mangle. They also get Shield Battery which increases your HP/SP/FP regen slightly, which isn't incrediably useful imo. The reason to go Destroyer is to get the next up class at level 40.
  • - Now, Gladius is great. Gladius has both a defensive skill that requires a shield, like Bellato's miller, and a great buff that increases attack speed.
At level 40 you can pick from Punisher, Assaulter, Mercenary.
  • - Punisher is the reason to get destroyer because it has a snare. Unlike Bellato and Cora, Accretia don't have the "spin-a-web" skill that slows people. So they need a punisher with Magnetic net which holds someone in place for 20 seconds. Punisher also gets a high damage attack called Rage Blow which on attack debuffs the image, making them slowly lose health(200 every 2 seconds for 20 seconds, so 10k in all). This debuff can be removed like any other.
  • - Now Assaulter is a great middle class. It has an attack buff called Capacity engine and being the class in the middle it means either can take it. So you can use that to make your extra mangle attack better, or I personally find it better to go Gladius>Assaulter to have both a damage and attack speed buff. It also has Limit guage, which inreases the defensive guage(ugh.. dunno really what that does).
  • - Mercenary is the next up on defense. It gets Excel Charger that increases the effect of healing potions. Keep in mind you could have 15,000+ hp and the best potions you can have are 5k heal every 3 seconds so this is definantly a useful skill. However, it will take another buff spot i believe (it's not passive, is it?). Then there is Powerful Element which increases elemental resistances, more defense, and higher block rate and requires a shield to be used.

Accretia rangers do not get any class specific skills that benefit guns/bows/throwing weapons, only launchers. However, they can get more of a damage boost than other from rare items to make accretia using bow/gun still good! Again, I'm not going over the cloaked class. They're all the same, and not good.
  • - Gunner has Flash-bang which only works on monsters and stuns them for 15s if not attacked, basicly lets you flee or heal. . Aiming Launcher is lower damage than Compound Siege, but doesn't need to have a siege kit unpacked. Compound Siege is a powerful Siege launcher attack with a slight delay before firing and only usable with Siege kit+launcher.
  • - Striker is the next step up from Gunner. Firstly is Desperation Launcher, a high damage launcher skill. Mighty Blast Siege fires a quick sucession of 3 rockets, a volley if you will. Siege Mastery increases your damage when using a Siege Kit.
  • - Dementer is such a unique and awesome class if you play with with a guild/friends and use teamwork. Lets start with the lesser skills. Gate Capsule is the same as Cora and Bellato Return Gate. Dread Mind drains some of the enemies FP and lowers the maximum ammount. Now, the real good skill here is Pray Explosion. This is basically a kamikaze suicide attack. When you use it your body flashes red, allerting people that you're about to explode like a countdown. Then all the enemies around you are hit with thousands of damage. You are put down to one hp(not completely killed) and you CANNOT use potions to heal or return to town items to escape for 60 seconds. HOWEVER the Scientists Instant can revive the Dementers if they die.
A group of Dementers working together with scientists to catch them before the enemy is able to snag that last 1 hp can be devastating.

  • -At level 30 you get the normal crafter choice which is Engineer with set gaurd turret like the others.
However at 40 you have 2 choices.
  • - Scientists has a revive called instant repair and is good to use to bring back dementers. Gage recovery is like the others, recovering DP. They can use level 30 andup Status Launchers.
  • - You can also choose to become Battle Leader. Battle leader can use higher level Status Launchers which are used to debuff the enemy. The higher level status launchers can use more ammo types for other debuffs. Battle Leader also gets a run speed buff called Nimble Joint, targettable on allies. As if Accretia aren't already fast enough! Also, Solid Mode makes the Battle Leader invincible(or nearly at least, not exactly sure) but he/she then cannot move or attack with it on. Gage Down is like Gage Recovery, but the opposite and targets the enemy.
Both Scientist and Battle Leader may use any level of status launcher if they meet the requirement.
Also note that all classes can use the level 1 status launcher with 4 ammo types availible to it(-def, -acc, -crit, buff remove). The higher level status launchers have 12 ammo types availible to them which have different debuff effects. You can switch ammo between shots to put on different debuffs.
Status Launcher's use the normal Launcher PT requirement.
