[Linzee]Class and play guide - Cora

Category: Default Game: Default Posted on Nov 23, 2006 7:23 pm

I guess most want Cora. next so here it is.
Cora are an all-out offensive race, pretty much. Most of their damage comes from their mages, aswell.

What's nice with Cora Warriors is that they are a much better build for two handed weapons, and two handed weapons do much more damage.
At level 30 you can pick between Champion and Knight.
  • - Champion is the offensive one with Power Up that increases critical hit chance and Faith. The critical damage is pretty good, it depends on the weapon I believe, though i's not something like ignores armor that you see in other games. I'm not sure on the formula. Faith increases both offense AND defense, so you'll have a fun time with that big axe, spear, or two handed sword.
  • - Knight is defensive with a skill called Relax that raises defense and shield block(however, I don't think it requires a shield but if you wear one it'll block more. Someone correct me on this if you know). They also get Vampire Groan which leaches life from (All?) nearby enemies.
At level 40 there is Templar, Gaurdian, and Black Knight.
  • - Templar has Full swing and Sprint. Full swing is a pretty attack where you spin arounda few times and then hit someone hard. Sprint is a speed buff without any regetive effects to it like Bellato's scamper. With Spritn you can chase people down easier, and run away easier if it turns out you're to outnumbered for you to survive without a shield.
  • - Gaurdian is the in between class with Muscle Break and Quick Recharge. Muscle break lowers the targets damage. Well that's useful except it's just one target when in war you have dozens of targets, so take that into account. Quick Recharge is like that ever-so good skill that contributes to Bellato Rangers being so good, however Gaurdian doens't have an extra attack to go with it.
  • - Then we have Black Knight which is obviously the next up from Knight. This time around they get a skill, Hypnotic Power, I know just raises defense alot and doesn't require a shield, and doesn't benefit with a shield. They also get Disabling Force which stops the targets attack.
So there you have it. If you really want to use a two handed melee weapon, Cora is probly for you. Though they definalty aren't bad with Accretia and you can make it work on Bellato.

Nextly, the rangers. Firstly you have Archer and Hunter for level 30. Again.. I'm not going over the cloak classes, so cross Hunter off.
  • - Archer has an attack skill that always does critical damage, and this is alright. What's really good is the skill Hold. It's like the mages "spin-a-web" except it doens't last as long and makes it so someone can't move AT ALL. Though when you use this, it's likely someone else is going to take the kill. So if you aren't selfish, an archer is an asset to the Cora race.
The Archer can change to Adventurer or Stealer next.
  • - Adventurer gets longer range with Correct Eye and a damage and hit chance buff with Precise Striking. I'm not sure how this damage compares with Despeado's buff, and the Bellato's agility holy magic skill counters this hit chance increase.
  • - Stealer is much like Sentinel. It has Blink Illusion which increases your evasion rate at the expense of damage. A Feign Death skill to make you appear dead. Lastly is a copy off Mental Assault, which is called Heat Confusion.

Now for manys favorite, the Cora Spiritualists. They greatly outdamage Bellato's and it's not just their skills, but Cora's dark magic line that makes them so good too. Though there aren't as many at lvl 45+..
The two choices are Caster and Summoner. Both of these are a good choice..

  • - The Caster gets a buff that greatly increases damage at the expense of stamina. Greatly meaning much more than Bellato's Cypher, yes.
  • - Summoner's only ability at level 30 is to call summons. These are:
Paimon, a defensive tank that can take alot of damage, but not dish it, and is melee.
Isis, the exact opposite of Paimon. She is long long, has no damage type, has low defense, and does extreme damage.
Hecate, a mix of physical damage with some defense aswell. She uses ranged attacks.
Inanna, which heals.
At level 40 you can pick between Warlock, Dark Priest, and Grazier.
  • - Warlock is the next up from caster. It's like Bellato's Wizard except it can actually do decent damage at high levels. They get 3 skills, one of which is another damage buff called Meditation. Another is Stone Curse which freezes an enemy in place(and stops them from attacking?). Lastly a long rang attack, even longer range than the Bellato one since Cora get an extra range buff.
  • - Dark Priest is like the the Bellato astraler. They have the same Return Gate and and Escape skill. However they have a different skilled called Force Shield that raises the targets defense and takes FP from the attacker when an attacker hits the target with Force Shield on them.
  • - Grazier has 3 skills to make their summons better. One buffs it's damage, another heals it, and another lets you recall it after it dies much sooner.

The Specialist is last. Specialists are always important.
The Cora Specialist only has one path to choose, unlike Accretia and Bellato.
At level 30 the Specialist can change to Craftsman.
  • - Cora's Craftsman, like all others, just gets set gaurd tower.
At level 40 a Craftsman can change to Artist
  • - Artist has the ability to revive dead allies with Rebirth, just like Bellato's can. They also have Gage Recovery to recovered defense penalty.
