Understand me when I say that this is a difficult task and cannot be done easily. Just as you would normally do with an actual miner, there are many things one must consider such as:

• The botters level

• The botters hp

• The botters equipment

Further one must remember that miner bot programs are built so that any sense of danger will cause the program to disconnect from the server. The bot program allows for disconnection on blue, red and black names but for botters themselves they probably would use the warning for all.

Now that I have cleared up the background info, lets get into the course.

Identifying a bot

Well as mentioned above, the program disconnects when players have their name under certain kill conditions (blue, red or black), however I have found another method of identifying a bot user.

During experiments, (many botters can always be found in the Phoenix City mine in the Pyramid server) I have learnt that if a botter is on your screen and you use certain XP skills the bot also disconnects. While I have not tried this for all classes, I will say that this works particularly well with a warrior's Superman skill. Usually when disconnected, I assume the player returns his bot to the game however there have been some circumstances where I really suspect that the bot logged itself.

After identifying a botter, you may want to move out of their view slightly (you can always use the shift screen to view when they return). Your next job is surveillance. You do not have to wait long, a minute or so to ensure enough time to log in and then move to another character comfortably.

Finally is the hardest task, killing the botter before the program disconnects. To do this, you must perform a 1-hit kill, which not can, but WILL kill them on contact. I can think of several methods for this:

• A stiged water elf

• A very good Rapid (if in a team "Stig me please!"

• Strong Tornadoes

• For Trojans I recommend a skill like fast blade of scent sword (stigged if in a team). Trojans other wise will have the most problems and the only skill I can think of using is Hercules which may get you in more problems than you may want.

• Flying Moon. Yes consider by some as the most useless technique by a Warrior, but Warriors at level 70 plus have higher Flying moon stats making this possible. A trick to try, get a refined weapon with 2 sockets and put phoenix gems in them and see what happens.

If the attack connects they will die, the items will drop and the program will still disconnect. You will get pk points and you will flash blue. On the other hand, you will get that botter's goodies that he tries so hard to protect.

Well I have done my good for society, and brought means to attack botters. While personally I am indifferent to whether they cheat or not, it is good for them to have a little difficulty like everyone else. Just because they bot, it does not make them invincible. Everything has a limit. Programs can be hacked. And for those non-hackers, a strategy devised to attack hackers.
