0 Digg it    Diablo III Officially Announced
  Views: 14  |  Category : Default |  Post time : Jun 29, 2008    Comments: 0  |  Bookmark
After a long night of anxious waiting, we can finally confirm that Diablo III has been announced.

The announcement began with an acoustic rendition of the Diablo theme music followed by the game's first trailer. The trailer included an ominous voice over of the type we've come to expect with the series' dark occult themes set to images of "castles and battles and stuff blowing up."

The game's lead designer, Jay Wilson, then stepped on stage for a demo of the long-awaited action-RPG. Wilson showed off a muscle-bound barbarian character who he said perfectly embodied Blizzard's philosophy for Diablo III: "No such thing as too much power."

Visually, the game takes a cue from last year's big Blizzard announcement, Starcraft II; rather than go the route of amazingly realistic graphics that require a high-end computer to run, the game's engine will remain isometric with slightly stylized graphics.

The official website also contains lore for both of the currently revealed classes, several types of confirmed enemies, and a journal entry from the aforementioned Deckard Cain. Three more character classes are promised, leaving plenty of time for more big reveals bef

  Views: 47  |  Category : Default |  Post time : Jun 16, 2008    Comments: 2  |  Bookmark

It is repored that Korea-based MGame and Asiasoft(Thaiand) sign on a contract on May 29th that they will bring Furinkazan to Thailand. There is no doubt that it is good news for players in Thailand. But I do not now when this game will develop English version and come to North America..lol...seems wonderful XD

About Furinkazan

Fu-Rin-Ka-Zan, literally "Wind, Forest, Fire and Mountain", was the battle flag used by a Sengoku period daimyo named Shingen Takeda, quoting The Art of War: "Move as swift as a wind, stay as silent as forest, attack fierce like fire, unmovable defense like a mountain."

Based on the technologies used in and the experience drawn from the development of Scions of Fate and other titles, MGame tries to present players a totally different world view and distinctive graphics in Furinkazan in order to bring a freshness to the players.

0 Digg it    Warhammer Online: Crafting Details

EA Mythic, a division of Electronic Arts Inc. , unveiled new details for the crafting system in Warhammer® Online: Age of Reckoning™ (WAR). With two crafting abilities (Apothecary and Talisman Making) and four supporting gathering skills (Cultivating, Magical Salvaging, Scavenging and Butchering), the MMORPG incorporates an innovative crafting system to aid players in their fights on the battlefield’s of WAR.

The Apothecary crafting ability allows players to create all manner of useful potions, lotions and powders to heal, enhance stats, or cause damage to others. By combining various ingredients, players will even have the opportunity to “design” their own potions according to their needs. The second crafting ability, Talisman Making, will allow players to make useful items imbued with magic powers to be worn by a character.

WAR’s gathering skills produce the raw materials required for Apothecary and Talisman Making:

Players can train themselves in Cultivating, and plant seeds and spores in order to harvest weeds and fungi, components frequently used in Apothecary creations.
Magical Salvaging lets players break down magical items, converting them int

0 Digg it    Mythos:perspective at Allakhazam
  Views: 332  |  Category : Default |  Post time : May 26, 2008    Comments: 0  |  Bookmark

Drawing on many diverse aspects of the different games on the market, Mythos provides a fun alternative to the standard "level grind" commonly found in most MMOs out there. It's fun, absorbing and has a fairly easy learning curve where game mechanics are concerned. The game uses the "personal instance" method from Guild Wars, where a player has a map to a specific area that is theirs alone and there are travel "hubs" that are social areas. In these hubs, players can set up groups and interact with NPCs, gain quests and use a bank system.

Leaving the hubs will take the player to instanced areas. These areas have a small "zone" that leads to the specific dungeon and each dungeon is detailed on the character map so there is no "wandering around lost", which happens so frequently in other games. Arriving at the dungeon "zone", you will find a merchant and a guide next to the zone in location so you can sell off any loot you may have and purchase mana and health potions, recall charms (used in the dungeon, they are a temporary "gate" so you can leave, sell and return to the same place in the dungeon) and some magic i
