If you really want the Collector's Edition of Flagship Studios' Hellgate: London, now is the perfect time to place that pre-order while supplies last. According to a post on Hellgate: London's official website, the Collector's Edition of this PC MMORPG is almost sold out. After the game ships, only Regular Edition copies will be produced.

On the same post, Flagship announced that server tests planned for Saturday may cause a downtime this weekend. When Hellgate: London goes back up, players will have to download a new build to play. No need to worry about your characters though, because there shouldn't be a wipe.

Folks from Flagship recently stated they were doing lots of server tests as the game's launch comes close. Devs are aiming for October 31, while Beta testers can hang around Hellgate: London for now.

  Views: 38  |  Category : Default |  Post time : 2007-10-14 08:45:41    Comments: 0  |  Bookmark

The Pirates of the Burning Sea Mission Designers are working their fingers to the bone creating missions filled with adventure, intrigue and excitement. Nothing brings a story to life more than well thought-out characters, and our stories are no exception.

But what maritime monster worth their salt would strike fear into the hearts of captains near and far, without a proper flag design? That’s where you come in friends!

We’ve decided to open flag and sail designs for some of our prime villainous groups to the experts- our community! Every two weeks, information regarding some of the most notorious pirates on the Burning Sea will be shared via our front page, at which point community members are invited to submit their own original flag and sail designs to be judged by Flying Lab Software staff. Winners of this contest have a chance to make a permanent mark on the PotBS game world, and win some great Pirates of the Burning Sea prizes as well!

The Rules

  • Every week, a news article will be posted and a thread will be created in our User Content Forum for contest submissions. You can find submission thread for this round by clicking here.
  • Submissions must be original designs submitted by th

0 Digg it    Age of Conan Beta Update
  Views: 41  |  Category : Default |  Post time : 2007-10-14 06:09:46    Comments: 0  |  Bookmark

FunCom released a bunch of new Age of Conan screens to go along with this beta update that discusses what they have planned for server centers, plus what's up with the open beta.

At the same time we are now deploying a large amount of additional machines to our main server structures. This means that we are getting ready for larger-scale Beta deployment! We now have the hardware, the set-up (and an awesome game;) ready for larger scale testing! As a result of this we are also getting ready to start inviting thousands and thousands (and thousands) into our Beta programs. As we progress with this new stage of the Beta we expect to get lots of constructive feedback on the general gameplay, and we hope that the testers will also love this iteration of the new combat system. This testing will in turn lead to adding tens and tens of thousands of testers as we move over to the new year. This is surely great news, and for you in the community it means that we are escalating our invitation process. For those of you we have defined as “veterans” (which have not gotten a Beta invite yet), we are looking to send an invitation within the next few weeks. As we have stated before it is a goal for

High Swordsman
The undisputed master of the Swordsmen in Holy City. While he appears quite respectable, and is regarded as the most talented swordsman in Zu, most people usually simply call him the “High Swordsman”, because nobody knows his real name… He usually wears golden robes and heavy armor, with 3 immense swords strapped to his back. A prominent scar mars his rugged face, testament to his many extraordinary experiences.

Gear Judge
A grizzled man resembling a blacksmith, he carries a large sword upon his back. He wears brown robes and red armor.

0 Digg it    Latest News - Fury Fans Get Their Wishes - An even Game is a Fun Game
  Views: 33  |  Category : Default |  Post time : 2007-10-10 06:06:22    Comments: 0  |  Bookmark
We have watched, we have played, we have listened, and we’ve decided to make some changes – some BIG changes. Our whole design mantra has been that evenly matched battles are more fun, yet Fury Challenge has shown us that 2 in 3 players who try Fury do not even make it to the fun stage. We believe the biggest issue has been the imbalance between new players and experienced players and the difficulty in getting to grips with a new combat system. Throughout beta we have tweaked things and modified things. The time has come to be brave and make some far reaching changes to ensure Fury is fun all players

In a nutshell, the core essence of Fury is player skill. To truly recognize this, we’re making changes to emphasize this aspect out even more. We’ve decided to start everyone with 1,000 Equip points and offer a UAA option from Day One. In addition, we’re bringing everyone onto a single Realm and teaching the Matchmaker to understand that Premades don’t like playing against PUGs. We’re also giving new players a Training Ground where they can learn the game against other new players and bots. In addition to all this, we’re continuing to listen to the community regarding balance changes an
