Linden Lab CTO Cory Ondrejka reportedly resigned on Tuesday and will officially depart at the end of the year. ''The needs of our company are changing, and the role of CTO, or technical lead, has also evolved,'' said Philip Rosedale. ''Cory and I are in agreement that our paths, at this point in time at least, lie in different directions.'' Rosedale didn’t specify Ondrejka’s future plans, saying only that the former CTO will “pursue new professional challenges.” Second Life has proven to be a popular place for companies to set up virtual shop, and even politicians have made appearances in the world (the game also made a hilarious appearance on the TV show The Office). However, one study from Yankee Group, refuted by Linden Lab, claimed that the game’s hype doesn’t match its audience, with users only visiting Second Life for an average of 12 minutes per month.

In a new post on its official forums, Tony Hilliam, CEO of Fury developer Auran, is quoted as confirming that a slow start for the MMO has necessitated downsizing its 60 man team, as it moves to outsource development to Asia. The post sees Hilliam saying that after a ramp up from 30 to 70 staff members as it completed Fury and its Battlestar Galactica XBLA game it has made some cutbacks to "focus on a smaller, more agile core team of Fury developers." The CEO says it is working with fellow Australian developer Tantalus to move some displaced staff to that studio, which he notes is "working on DS and Wii titles," a process "taking place right now." Finally, he notes that "during the past two years we successfully used several outsourcing companies and will be looking to China to create much of the new content that we will release in future [Fury] updates" and will be "talking with a number of publishers in Asia regarding co-development deals." Auran has already seen major investment from China, getting AUD$4 million ($3.2 million) from China's CDC Corporation subsidiary CDC Games, which invested in primarily in Fury's development.

No one at Blizzard ever expected World of Warcraft to become the phenomenon it has, according to Bill Roper.
"I remember a meeting at Blizzard where we were hoping we'd be able to sell a million copies of the game", Roper, former Blizzard North employee and now Flagship Studios CEO, has told CVG in an interview.
"You have to remember," Roper continued, "that the most successful American MMORPG at that time was EverQuest with about 500,000 players. It would have been impossible to predict that World of Warcraft would take off as a cultural phenomenon as it did, but those are the kind of surprises that you like to get in life."
World of Warcraft launched in late 2004/early 2005 (depending in which part of the world you lived), and has since gone on to charm over a ludicrously massive nine million players.
But Roper, who quit Blizzard in 2003, says he has no regrets that he wasn't around at the company when the game took off.
"As for regrets, I could never regret starting Flagship and Ping0 and building what we have here. The string of games I worked on at Blizzard makes me proud", he told us.
"And while World of Warcraft was perhaps the one

The second day his mother ask him about the date. He was depressed. His mother ask that you forget to open the door when she got off the car, did not you? He said, "yes, I did and she felt happy." His mother continued to ask, "you forget to pull the chair for her, did not you?" "yes, I did and she said I am a gentalmen." he said. His mother felt puzzled. Finally ask, "you let her do thing herself?" The young man said, "If so, that would be good. When I sent her home, she told me she felt thirsty, so I bought a drink for her." His mother said, "That is good." In the end the young man said, "I
