Community envoy Aether has just made it known that something new is headed for the players of Pirates of the Burning Sea. On Tuesday, that's April 29, 2008, servers will be taken down in order to publish build 1.3.30.0. This is certainly great news to pirates. What's also good about it is that it's just going to take two hours for everything to take full effect. We're sure you guys wouldn't mind the wait. Now, the devs are asking for your feedback. Don't hesitate to air out your comments with this latest build. After all, it's needed for the game to keep on getting better and better. That's about it for now. We'll keep you guys posted on more updates on the game as they come.

On the eve of its debut, the Metal Gear Online US public beta has gone AWOL. More accurately, Konami has announced that the beta has been delayed due to "extraordinary levels of traffic from all around the globe" causing service problems. Konami did not give a new starting date for the beta, only to say that more information will be coming tomorrow, April 22. The end date, however, has been pushed back from May 5 to May 11. (Update: fixed date.) For those who need a fix desperately can peep the online manual for the game, including a listing of the 16 skills you can choose from to enhance your stealth killer.

Here's a heads up for all of you who play IGG's Voyage Century Online. There's a news update relating to the rules for the upcoming city-building system update. Basically, guild members can all participate in the city-building, though the actual building process and leveling of a city is determined by the leader or vice leader of a guild. All guild members have to do is find the construction minister and pay a leveling fund, as well as bring some needed equipment to level up the port. Once the port is ready to level up, leaders or vice-leaders can then increase the level of the port, granting the port a development point. Before you start thinking about hyper-levelling your ports, you might want to remember one last rule the devs have put in place. This is a cooling time rule, which means that newly-developed ports can't level up until a certain length of time has passed. Crafty, right? In any event, you may want to stock up on the essentials so you can go grinding for items needed to level up your port in preparation for the rush of guild members who'll be trying to do the same once the update goes live. We wish you the best of luck though, as you set sail for bountiful plunde

Yesterday, servers conked out and prevented people from logging in and enjoying Linden Lab's MMORPG, Second Life. But not to worry anymore, an official announcement has been made that this problem has been resolved. The reason behind this problem was that there were multiple issues with various ISPs. Majority of service providers have been bundling network links into large virtual links between different data centers. The bundles experienced some abnormalities causing sever packet/data loss of over 50%. In order to resolve this, the company behind the MMORPG had to force player to log out of the game so that they could pinpoint what was causing it. Players were forced to log out so that the log in problems wouldn't be causing more damage. It's a good thing that the ISPs were able to remedy the situation. Now, you guys can free roam the world of Second Life without having problems signing in. We'll keep you guys updated with the latest news on the game.

In the world that will be EA Mythic's Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, you have to choose the most suitable career for you. If you happen to fancy magic above anything else, you might want to be a Magus. The Magus takes all of its powers from the Disc of Tzeentch, a platform where the Magus must forever mount to access its limitless powers. There is more to this platform though - it is alive. Powered by the magic of the Aethyr, this symbiosis offers nothing but destruction. As a Magus, you need the use of tools and the mastery of the Disc of Tzeentch to fully realize your vast potential. You are versatile in that you have a counter to all attacks, but by yourself, you are weak because you have limited defensive capabilities. A quick and agile set of attacks can put you down. Although its power is enough reason to be feared, the wardrobe of the Magus is no pushover as well. With a light ornamental armor with elaborate robes, a Chaos-inscribed staff and a living Disc of Tzeentch mount, the Magus never lacks for style in terror.
