Some people do not like to grind. It is obvious to see this in these forums. You always see people
complaining that a game is all about grinding and so on. Now let us take a moment to see what
grinding is.
Now what is grinding anyway? From what i hear it is when you do quests over and over again to
get to that max level. Ok now since noone likes this why dont we just do away with quests. NOW
WHAT? Seriously guys you need to stop whining about grinding. Cause in reality YOU CANNOT
HAVE A MMO WITHOUT IT. what do you do without quests? Go around randomly killing stuff
right? Now your doing the same thing without having to talk to someone first. In reality
EVERYTHING CAN BE CONSIDERED GRINDING. Oh what do you do in a racing game? You just
race right? What do you do in a first person shooter? you just shoot people right? See all your
doing is whining about what makes up the game when you complain about grinding.
Now I did not mention guildwars before since it is not an mmo. Now guildwars to me has no
grind. In guildwars you get to lvl 20 then you go complete the story. THis is why i like guildwars
more than the mmo's out their. You actually accomplish something in it. In mmo's all you do is
quest after quest till your lvl 70 or whatever then your done. In guildwars, you actually keep
going till you finish the story then you have the satisfaction of accomplishing something. Then
you do the other stories till you complete them all. Then you can go do the rest of the quests if
you want or pvp since pvp is fun in guildwars. My point is if you guys really do not want to
GRIND maybe mmo's need to take the guildwars approach to this.
