Rumble Fighter Review By Phaux
It's been a while now since I've done a review, hasn't it? Well, I'm back, and with a review of the game - Rumble Fighter. Let's get started now, shall me?
Quoted from the Rumble Fighter Site: ''A long time ago, an evil spirit known as the Shadow King planned to conquer the world and consume everyone in it. Many fighters fought hard in trying to defeat the evil king, but unfortunately some could not overcome the evil and became consumed by his power. These consumed fighters were known as the Dark Guardians. The Shadow King was defeated when fighters captured his evil spirit with the Sacred Seals and placed it underground in a location known as "Resurrection". After the defeat of the Shadow King, the Dark Guardians disappeared into the darkness as they waited for the perfect opportunity to strike again. The ancient Guardian fighters who fought and defeated the Shadow King, gathered together and handed down their special powers to others for the war against evil. These fighters placed their powers into entities known as ExoCores, so the power could be utilized in the future for other fighters if evil ever returns. Fighters known as "Guardians of the Seals" were given these ExoCore abilities to continue the fight against evil. The only way to keep the Shadow King from resurrecting is by protecting the Sacred Seals that contains him. The Seals are the only entity that keeps the Shadow King from returning. To ensure that the Seals were never to be joined again, Guardians secretly placed the Seals throughout the world. The Dark Guardians however, soon discovered that destroying the Seals was the only way to resurrect the Shadow King. The Dark Guardians searched high and low throughout the lands to locate the Seals. Eventually the Dark Guardians were able to obtain and crush some of the Seals. With the power of the Seals beginning to weaken, the Shadow King was able to utilize some fo his powers to instruct the Dark Guardians to create corrupted ExoCores so that they can initiate an even more powerful attack to bring the Kings resurrection closer. Currently there is a huge war of good versus evil in the fight for the Sacred Seals. With the Seals weakening each day, the hopes of victory for the Guardians are starting to slip away. In preparation for the very worst, a Rumble Fighter Tournament is being held to recruit the best fighters from around the land to aid in the great war. What kind of fighter are you?'' That takes care of the story behind Rumble Fighter. Now let me do my part, and filling you in on the basics of the game. First off, you start off with one character, either a Soul Fighter, Striker, Alchemist, or Elementalist. Strikes of well-rounded, and are recommended for beginners. Soul Fighters are more based off of power and speed, and are recommended for more advanced players. Alchemist uses different mechanical alteration to defeat their opponents in battle. Recommended for more advanced players. Lastly, Elementalist call upon the powers of nature of aid themselves in battle. In my opinion, beginners and advanced players can use this class with ease.
Matches are room based, so a player can find a game with ease. Maximum people in a room is 8, either as a free-for-all, or team matches. There are several match types, as well. Other than the obvious deathmatch, there's potion battle, in which fighters try to drink the most potions out of everyone else; King of the Hill in which fighters have to hold the hill for the longest time. Arena, which is like Deathmatch, but you respawn. Caged beast in which two fighters duke it out as the rest of the team are in cages. When one fighter is defeated, one cage randomly opens and the next player comes in. When there's 60 seconds left in the fight, all the cages open and all the fighters rush out and duke it out.
Another cool feature of Rumble Fighter are the scrolls. Scrolls contain different fighting styles in which players can truly master the game depending on their fighting preference. Check out a full list of the fighting scrolls at (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rumble_Fighter#Sacred_Scrolls).
Another definite cool feature of Rumble Fighter is Exocores. If you finally wanted to be a Power Ranger, here's your chance. You vs another guy. Your health is low, one last move to decide the game. What do you do? Call in your Exocore. The Exocore is a transformation. Depending on the Exocore, you can transform into a cool variety of things. You can morph a big fist on your hand and punch your opponent to death with it. You can change into a ninja and throw big shuriken at your oppnent, and much, much more. Check out a full list of the Exocores at (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rumble_Fighter#ExoCores).
