Warlords Battlecry III
Category: Game review: Warlords Battlecry III Game: Default Posted on Jan 22, 2009 6:45 pm
Warlords Battlecry III is a rpg/rts PC genre, with a moderate campaign replayability and a skirmish mode. You first start off by making a hero of your choice from 16 different races and 28 classes. You can mix match them up to your liking which produces a pretty good replay value for Warlords Battlecry III.
If you start the campaign, you'll begin your adventure where you'll find out that these high elves has let loose a demon into the world. Your hero is your main concern, since he's the one that'll be converting resources and leveling up to obtain powerful skills. You can also have generals that you may handpick and put into your retinue after you have finished a mission. You'll find items dropped by heroes you fought or buy and sell them at a store. There are even quests that you can complete in some maps that are optional. *Oh and I forgot to add all your units level up as well, so it's best that you use your units wisely in battle instead of sending them in for suicide runs.*
So far this game in my opinion is a rarity indeed, but didn't make it big in sales, because of the dated graphics which i didn't find a problem with. Occasionally when you're in a big battle it's kind of hard to see your army and the enemies since they just seem to mash together.
In my opinion this game is kind of hard, because you don't build your bases as fast as other RTS games, and you have to make sure your army is equally spread out to protect your resources and bases and the battles seem drawn out.
I wish they would made another sequel to the warlords battlecry series, it's been needing one for quite a while. So try out warlords battlecry III if you're interested in a pretty decent RTS that mixes in RPG pretty well.
And again sorry for the rough review of this game, it deserves a better review.
