Once upon a time, there is a continent called Bermesiah. This continent is threatened by an evil villain called Kaze’Aze. And only you can something about it. Join grand chase, and save the world.
That’s about as much story as I’m willing to give, but should give you an overall idea of what’s happening. With that said, I am going to give this a preview approach, since it is still in open beta, and everything is released yet.
We’ll start off that this game is in the genre of 2-D fighting games. Moreover, it’s a bit on the line of Super Smash Brothers kind of gameplay. You start with three characters, an archer, a knight and a mage. You skip the character creation screen, and start with all 3 characters at level 0. That’s a nice choice, it allows you to experience those classes without having to delete any characters, or making definite choices. You are free in what ever you choose and want to develop skill and strategy in.
There are 2 modes to choose from, right now, and that is dungeon(PvE) and PvP. PvE let’s you experience a sidescrolling fighting game, but on a 2D basis. You see certain monsters stationary, or those that begin to move. Kill all the monsters, and destroy a
seal on a door to move. The PvE section is known as very easy, but it seems the difficulty is getting better right now.

That's how you slaughter groups of enemies.
PvP isn’t as easy, as you fight against opponents. Now, Instead of hp that goes down and only regenerates at a certain point, you will have regenerating HP and MP as well. This means that you have to find a way to lower the opponents health in a short amount of time, or the opponent will try to ‘flee’. It’s a nice addition, since it makes the battles more intense, you have to find a way to open the opponent up. There is also a tag mode feature available here. This means that People will be able to chose two oft here available characters. Problem is, Because the mage got a shield that makes the mage invincible for a certain amount of HP damage. The mage doesn’t even get phased to a hit to the shield. Now, it’s not bad if only the mage had it, but the shield is shared to the tag character.(if the mage is first to battle) This means that all team-ups are usually the mage with someone else. It’s a pity that they did it like this, because everyone will be abusing that advantage. But on higher levels, it seems the shield doesn’t matter as much anymore.
As with the leveling, it’s pretty easy from 1 to 10 or 15. from 15 onwards, you need to focus to get some serious grind work done. But it’s okay, since the PvP can entertain, if you are good enough, or just like it.
GP gain is good too, but after 20, you’ll have to save up a lot of money to buy equips. You can use it for the necklaces, but it takes a lot of tries to upgrade.(as of writing this, only 1 necklace/anklet is available for all classes.) You need gems, which are 1k a piece, to upgrade. The upgrade rate is pretty low, so be prepared to invest a lot, if you want to have special effects. It also gives more attack(defense if you say the anklet), so there is something to be had there. But still, the upgrade rate is criminally low, like that of fiesta.
There are also runes, but you need to make these from scrolls you find. The scrolls drop from bosses. It’s nice to have some craft in there, but I don’t know if it really fits the style of this gameplay. But I’m happy with it.
The game, in and of itself, does nothing too wrong, but I don’t see it push envelopes either. This game is still in open beta, though, so take note of that. Anyway, this game is for PvPers, because that seems to be the main course this game gives. Otherwise, it can also be an enjoyable experience, if you find the friends to do so.
NOTE: sorry if this looks like a guide of some sort, but I don’t know what to do other ways with previews/first-looks. Hope i can get some constructive criticism on it. And how do you get the images to work?
