Like this I love you,
as you dress
and how your hair lifts up,
and how your mouth smiles,
light as the water
of the spring upon the pure stones,
Like this I love you, beloved.

Have you ever played an MMO with a significant other? It's a fun thing for two people to have in common. However, with the obvious pros come, well, the inevitable cons. Let us start with the good first.

Happy times:

1. Something the two of you can do together -

This is by far the most obvious pro, but also the most important one. When couples game together, they're sharing a common beloved hobby. It's also an interesting way  to spend your evenings. Instead of going out to see another movie or dining out at a routine restaurant, couples can stay home and quest together in the Outlands and type /flirt to each other's character's for an amusing and nerdy laugh. Gaming is a fun way to spend an evening with your loved one.

2. Helping each other -

That's right! There are infinite ways to help each other out. Your girlfriend's blood elf isn't just sexy, she's a level 70 Mage with maxed out Enchanting and 1200+ spell damage (Pwned).  Also, you have a constant player to quest, grind, raid, PK, and instance with. A player that, by the way, you know won't leave the instance group halfway through. Don't you hate that?

 3. Nobody is left out -

Games monopolize your time and

1. Well what's your name?  Paige Allison

2. Do you go to school?  Yes, squandering my days away in college.

3. Are you thirsty?  A caramel wave sounds pretty good...

4. Is it past your bed time?  Indeed not. Its still a hot, summer afternoon.

5. What should you be doing right now?  Something more productive than this, I'd imagine.

6. What color are your nails painted?  Clear.

7. When was the last time you sneezed?  Yesterday. Go away, summer.

8. Where

1 Digg it    All that matters is this constant glow...

It's nearly midnight but she has a mug of coffee sitting on her desk, so fresh that steam is curling up. She doesn't particularly favor her coffee black, but one day she used up all of her delicious creamer and never bought more. That was a couple of years ago. Her dark eyes stare at the coffee, considering. If she drinks it now, she will have burnt her tongue three times on coffee in one night. Best to wait. She tucks a wayward strand of dark hair behind her ear and focuses her attention back on the monitor before her. Its glow is the only source of light in the room, and she likes it that way.

She huddles up in her computer chair and resumes her typing. Music is drifting softly from her speakers: a favorite song of hers playing on repeat.  Behind her, a fan is turning, blowing, turning again. It ruffles the ink-stained papers on her desk and makes her hair tickle her neck.

She likes these dark, quiet nights when it feels as though she has the whole world to herself. Nothing matters but the sound of her music and the steady clicking of her keyboard. There is nothing to do but swallow black coffee and continue chatting to the one she loves.

And who should stand over her shou

0 Digg it    Console vs. PC

I've been wondering about the gaming history of all you PC gamers out there. Did most of you start out on Atari or NES? Did you develop your love of gaming back then, and it eventually progressed through all the new consoles until you found yourself playing on the computer? I know that's how I found myself here. But I noticed recently that ever since I began my PC gaming, I stopped acquiring  consoles when they came out. No PS3 or PSP for me (No Xbox or Xbox 360 - I'm a Sony fan, I guess). The only reason I have a Wii is because it was a surprise gift from my father. So, I'm wondering, have you guys also invested most of your attention to PC games over console games? I know it is a lot easier to dedicate an entire day playing WoW than an entire day playing something like Mario Kart. But this is kind of a sad thought, because while PC games are amazing because of the fact that you can reach anybody across the globe, it minimizes real life contact. You don't have to go to your friend's houses to play games together anymore, you can stay home in your pajamas all day playing over the computer. Mmmm....laziness. ^_^
