4 Digg it    Cheeto fingers?

Ah, there are few things I enjoy more than sitting down to watch an enjoyable anime series. It makes me feel so lighthearted and happy. I would probably dance around wildly in excitement, but I wouldn't be able to read the subtitles, and what good would that be? Good animes are just so incredible. They get everything perfect. I'm so drawn to all the characters and everything that is happening in the storyline. I laugh, I squeal in excitement, I pout, I hold my breath, I yell at the screen, I get teary eyed. People like to tell me that it's "just an anime". Now come on. Does it really matter if it's fictional? Don't we watch things to be entertained and have our emotions stimulated in all those ways? Otherwise, what's the point in watching movies or television? Yes, I have said "it's just a game", but I don't mean that in such a way that your emotions should be naught. I mean ... don't destroy your entire room because the same guy keeps ganking you. And don't fall in love with a Night Elf hunter chick ... it's probably just a fat man with constant cheeto residue on his fingers. Yay, my title makes sense now, doesn't it? :)

On a closing note: comfy jamm

5 Digg it    Omgz PvP happened on a PvP server ... *wink*

Alright, anybody who has rolled a character on a PvP server has heard the complaints. Getting ganked, getting camped, being killed by much higher levels. To which everybody responds "quit QQing and crawl in the direction of a PvE server". And I agree with them wholeheartedly. I have never seen so much complaining about PvP until I started playing AoC. Yes, it is brutal. There are no sides in AoC unless you're adventuring with your friends/guildies. If you think you're safe because you and some other guy are killing the same asshole, think again, because as soon as that asshole drops, it's you against him. And not to mention the unease of watching a level 80 come galloping towards you on his pony, wondering if he's going to stab you with his sword or assail you with his horse's hooves. I love it! But for those people who are overcome with anger when such things happen, well, I wonder what they're doing here. I hear a lot of "it's not PvP when a level 80 kills a lowbie". Really? Sooo....the level 80 is no longer a player then? Or is the low level not a player anymore? Hmmm... O.o It might be unfair PvP, but it's still PvP!

For the people who come along and

2 Digg it    AoC (her lovely update, finally)

I'm back! Isn't that exciting? Hehe, well, it's exciting for me, dammit. My return means three wonderful things: I have internet again, my computer has been completely upgraded (<3 Newegg), and I am playing Age of Conan. *Squeals in excitement*

So, Age of Conan. Hmm hmm. I've only had the opportunity to play for one day; I'm a level 17 PoM. It still has a lot of bugs (running into invisible walls, for instance) and everybody's been complaining about how unbalanced the classes are, but I'm enjoying it so far. Mainly because of the PvP. Yes, I am one of those assholes that likes to kill you, maybe gank you, possibly camp you. *innocent eyes* It's really all in fun (granted, it's sadistic fun) and I sometimes feel bad and resurrect the person if they're nice. So I'm not so bad, right? ;P Anyway, the PvP is brutal and I find myself in constant fights while trying to quest, which is a good thing because it provides entertainment while questing. It seems like everybody has at least one level 80 already. So it doesn't take all year to level up like WoW does. Oh, and the character customization is really extensive, so I'm loving that. ^_^

Somebody come play with me <3

0 Digg it    Console vs. PC
  Views: 193  |  Category : Default |  Post time : Apr 19, 2008    Comments: 9  |  Bookmark
I've been wondering about the gaming history of all you PC gamers out there. Did most of you start out on Atari or NES? Did you develop your love of gaming back then, and it eventually progressed through all the new consoles until you found yourself playing on the computer? I know that's how I found myself here. But I noticed recently that ever since I began my PC gaming, I stopped acquiring  consoles when they came out. No PS3 or PSP for me (No Xbox or Xbox 360 - I'm a Sony fan, I guess). The only reason I have a Wii is because it was a surprise gift from my father. So, I'm wondering, have you guys also invested most of your attention to PC games over console games? I know it is a lot easier to dedicate an entire day playing WoW than an entire day playing something like Mario Kart. But this is kind of a sad thought, because while PC games are amazing because of the fact that you can reach anybody across the globe, it minimizes real life contact. You don't have to go to your friend's houses to play games together anymore, you can stay home in your pajamas all day playing over the computer. Mmmm....laziness. ^_^
