Guild of the Week LoS Chavos Del [ocho]
Los Chavos Del [ocho] formed up in the fall of 2005 as a primarilyPvE guild. After a year of missions and quests, they started watchingmatches on Observer Mode, and developed an avid interest in PvP, mainlyGvG. A year later and this 100% Latin-American guild is a leadingpresence in its community, doing its part to maintain good PvP-orientedplayers.
In the Latin-American community, ocho is a strong PvP guild. Thereare other Latin-American PvP guilds, but some of them can't keep theirrosters full enough to compete or stay on the same level as ocho, whileother large guilds are more PvE-oriented. Ocho sometimes receivesinvites from other Latin-American PvP guilds to guest in PvP battles. When guesting, Ocho members usually only give advice when asked, and, they emphasize, this doesn't happen too often. Mostly, members recallvery good matches as guests, and are impressed with the quality of playthey find.
Los Chavos Del [ocho] considers itself a family, where they worryabout each other in the game as well as out of it. If a member ishaving trouble, the guild offers advice and moral support. Althoughmembers usually can't meet because of long distances, they did meet asa guild once in México to eat tacos, enchiladas, and sopes, and thenheaded back to the guild leader's house for menudo.
The roster consists of 12 players: one leader, seven officers andfour members. The leader and the officers are the core team while theother four fill in as needed. In the future, they hope to grow andreinforce friendships, both as a guild and within the Latin-Americancommunity, while continuing to perform strongly in PvP. They have highaspirations for upcoming tournaments, and would like to have apermanent position in the top of the GvG ladder.
