Ubisoft acquired full rights to the Tom Clancy name a few days ago for a reported 90 million dollars and has now announced a Tom Clancy MMO.Development on this new project has not yet started, but speculation is already putting the budget for this game at around 50 million. It truly seems that the MMO rush is on and everyone wants a piece of the action. No doubt a Tom Clancy MMO would be a FPS, although I don’t know how you can take a spy/swat type gameplay and turn it into a MMO. How does that work? 50 spies all trying to steal the same suitcase? No, most likely it would follow in the footsteps of The Agency, which Sony is working on. You would create your team and signup for missions that are instanced. click here for more details about it . It's so surprised that Shadowbane servers will be wiped clean in order to alleviate some of the problems that come from years of not cleaning house. ----------------------------------------------------------- We will be updating the Shadowbane Test Server with the first iteration of Patch 22 later this afternoon. Some of the changes were not as effective due to preexisting data and resetting the service will allow the servers to work under optimal conditions. Finally, this update also gives us a c

Ubisoft has announced that it has signed an agreement with Universal Pictures Digital Platforms Group to develop and publish a video game based on NBC’s popular super hero based television series Heroes.
The series, which premiered on September 25, and attracted over 14 million viewers each week during its first season, was one of the top 10 TV shows in 2006, according to Time Magazine. The show follows the lives of seemingly ordinary people who discover that they have extraordinary abilities, such a flight, telepathy, or time travel.
While no details have yet been announced concerning the upcoming video game adaptation, Christian Salomon, vice president of worldwide licensing at Ubisoft, notes that the show “lends itself naturally to a video game format,” adding that “there is no doubt that the game will appeal to both fans of the series and avid gamers.”
While Heroes marks the latest television property to be given the video game treatment by Ubisoft, it is not the first, with the company having announced in May 2006 that it would develop a game based on ABC’s hit drama Lost. The company today announced the first details of the upcoming title, confirming that it will not only come
