Aion: Tower of Eternity will feature a character's ability to fly, but it won't come easy. Developers have released the details of a quest string that end with flight. Check it out, along with several screens: Thursday 28th August - Brighton, UK/... NCsoft® Europe presents details of what Asmodians must do in order to be able to fly in the epic and beautiful Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) RPG, Aion: The Tower of Eternity. The chance to earn your wings and become a Daeva comes relatively early in the life of every true Asmodian, though the path itself can be hard and somewhat mystifying. As you reach level 9 you discover that you must find the Asmodian known as Munin, who has been detained deep within the Ishalgen Prison Camp.
Trapped within a crystallized prison cell, Munin is your key to Ascension. This Daeva can discern the future, even trapped in his cell. This expert fortuneteller will be able to tell your future and how you will ascend to be a mighty Asmodian, but first he needs items that can help piece together your past. He will need these items, the cards of fate, from three different disciples in order to proceed. The first appears as an old tailor by the name of U

Robert Garriott --- President of NCsoft® North America
As 2007 comes to a close, I think its well worth discussing what a great year it has been for the company, and using that success as a platform for 2008 and beyond. We’ve had many exciting things happen this year, with much of it providing building blocks for even better years ahead of us. First of course is the release of Richard Garriott’s Tabula Rasa in November, which is a big event in the history of this company and the fruit of much labor by many current and former employees worldwide... Also in November we had even more exciting news. We absolutely love City of Heroes and we really wanted greatly to re-invest in the franchise; the question was how to do it in the best way possible... In August we released Eye of the North, an expansion pack for the extremely popular Guild Wars franchise. Eye of the North was a bit different from our previous Guild Wars releases in that it wasn’t a standalone product; you had to own one of the three Guild Wars titles (Prophecies, Factions, or Nightfall) in order to play, The future is looking great for NCsoft North America. I’ve mentioned quite a few plans we have for 2008, and in addition we

Autodesk has announced that developers NCSoft, Webzen and Gravity are using Autodesk's 3D modeling, animation and rendering software in the development of their upcoming MMO titles -- AION, Huxley and Ragnarok Online II, respectively.
NCSoft plans to launch AION, a fantasy flying combat and role-playing game in 2008, and are developing its asset creation pipeline using Autodesk 3ds Max. According to Autodesk, Webzen is employing Autodesk 3ds and Autodesk Maya for the multiplayer shooter Huxley, just as it did on its previously-released Soul of the Ultimate Nation.
In addition to its upcoming MMO titles Requiem Online, Pucca Racing and W-Baseball, Gravity is also using Autodesk tools for the upcoming sequel to major Korean MMO Ragnarok Online, Ragnarok Online II. The company says it will feature full-3D graphics and sophisticated character expressions in place of the bubble emotes featured in the first Ragnarok game.
Park Young Woo, Ragnarok Online II producer at Gravity, said that using 3ds Max helped in his goal of creating "cute yet extremely expressive and natural facial animations" for the game characters.
NCSoft art director Kim Hyung Joon also noted the broad penetration of 3ds
