After long time waiting, I started my adventure on anticipated game AOC several day ago.

I should say it's a nightmare that to dowload nearly 2G patches online. It's quite annoying when you see the speed 4-10 KB/S ...  I wonder why didn't they make a manual patch to download? 

Anyway I finished updating at last, and enter the world with excited heart. After type in my account and password, I need to create a new character. Yup u can customize many things as hair, eyes, chest, height... I can't count them all lol and I have no interest to waste time on customization. So I choose a Aquilonian  Barbarian and click "play" immediately!



WOW! I should say I was shocked by the graphic first. Of course u should have a good comptuer spec to set graphic to "High" quality. Unlike the cartoon style in WOW, the AOC's graphic is reallife style. So u can enjoy beautiful scene here.

Then I pick my first quest, free Casilda by finding key on some mobs. So the first combat in AOC start! I simply click 1, 2, 3 on my keyboard to attack monsters, and they are killed rapidly. I feel myself full of power lol, well it's just level 1 monster, should I be so proud? Casilda was free after I use key to open her chains. And I promised to escort her to the city of Tortage.



It's another story that I enter city of Tortage. So I just stop describing all my adventure in this Blog and wanna take a short review about this game.

Graphic(9/10):
The graphic looks awesome if u have a good computer spec. Other than that, you'll feel laggy.

Sound(8/10):
Yes, it's amazing that every quest NPC has its speech in game. Different NPCs, different tones, if u r not good at oral english, you can even learn a lot from this game. And sounds of attack or use combos and magics are not bad too. But I don't have any impression on music in the game.

Gameplay(9/10):
Quests: A great deal of quests I could say. My quest list keep over 15 quests when I levelled from 5 to 15. You can pick many new quests when u level up. It's said AOC is lack of quest after level 55, I don't know now because I didn't reach the level. But I think it's easy to add quests in future.

Combat: It's fun to control ur character to attack by clicking key 1, 2, 3 and many other combos. U can observe how enemies defense and decide ur direction of attacking to make more damages.

There're some interesting systems in AOC too, but I didn't get enough level to taste it.

Community(6/10):
Community is not bad in cities and other PVE areas. But when I start quest on some areas allow PVP, it's annoying that many high level players love to kill u for fun. I still remember I was killed over 20 times in an hour in the boat area, and later I plan to complete quests there after my level is high enough.

Overall Rating(8/10)
If u bored of grinding MMOs, even bored of WOW, u can try AOC. It's a different world and I'm sure u can find fresh life here. Although there're some BUGs now, Funcom staffs are trying their best to solve it, as u can see new patches every day.
