Yeah MMOs are very very repetitive. They do get boring, but I believe that Oblivion online is going to change that. Of course in that game there is going to be a lot of variety and tons of things to do other than just kill monsters and pick up rare items.

I also play FFXI and have been playing this game now for 5 years. Lots of things to do. Lots of jobs to choose from. Same thing as WoW after you cap your level it's killing the same mobs over and over to get that awesome gear. This game was designed to get the whole gaming community involved. As you can't do most missions/quests alone. You need a group of 6 usually.

I play WoW for about 2 years. It's great and all but after you hit max level, everything else is deju~vu.
You just repeat the same process over again to get epic gear until a new expansion comes out which could take a year oe more. They have one coming out soon. WoW isn't too hard on making in game money. WoW is more for the people that enjoy spending time alone.

MMOs nowadays are very repetitve, go kill this monster, get reward, kill monster, get reward. YAWN. More variety, most MMOs lack it. A good MMO (in my opinion) is WoW, I havent played it yet, but it looks good, quests look varied and rewarding. A free (or cheaper) WoW would be awsome.
