MMORPG - Another Side Of DREAM

Ever since MMORPG come out, it attracts explosive amount of people to play, and almost the whole globe of people in earth got involve in this evolutionary kind of game, because it is online, a world in which we can become what we have been dream about when child or mature.

What is MMORPG? It is called Massively multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game which large number of players can interact with another in a virtual world. What is RPG then? RPG is Role-Play, mean being someone else that different to the real world of yourself. In RPG, we can become any role of a fictional character and live in a fantasy world.

MMORPG is another side of dream...Thats right,I believe that no one in this world never have a dream,a dream that we looking forward so much,a fantasy world that only exist in our imagination. I remember the first thing I was dreaming so much about is Alice In Wonderland, when Alice follow the rabbit and fall into a fantasy world where everything never can imagine before. From her I starts to know fantasy,and imagination begins.

I never can stop my imagination. I always dreaming to become someone else, from a child which travel a great journey in fantasy world to a hero which can use wonderful power to defeat enemy, everything is so wonderful, I remember my favourite story is NeverEnding Story, or The Magic Labyrinth. Those are my childhood fairytale.

Until then when RPG comes out first in console game, many people starts to play. From RPG introduced many characters including the good side like warrior, swordsman, magician, archer, thief, acolyte, and many more that made them looks good ^^, and the evil side like devil,orc,shaman,ogre etc that most of them looks bad and ugly LOL :P then player start to choose their favourite character. If this player had always dreaming to use sword then surely he will become a swordsman, while if another had always dreaming to summon awesome magic skills then no doubt that he will choose to become a mage. Then they start their great journey and to defeat the "traditionally" final Boss of the game ^O^

I believe that most of the people that play RPG had the most unforgetful moment is the ending,after working so hard gaining level defeating many bad guys and saving many souls,facing the big boss and experience the pounching heart of final battle and finally defeat the final boss,listening to the ending music and recall back the memories of the long journey,I think most of us can never forget this touching moment. Thats the dream we have been looking for so long,as at the end of journey we have the feel like we have reach and fulfill the meaning of life. That time the biggest success RPG is Final Fantasy (I got played too ^^)

After few years, internet is getting better, and the online idea of RPG has come out, its called MMORPG. It is a revolution of RPG because from now on people can no longer only playing with npc, but player can meet with real people, journey together with real people, and defeat boss together with real people.

Have you enjoy MMORPG and why do you like it? Well thats because we enjoy to become someone different in life,or dream. In real life,we dont have to fight monsters,we dont have to train battle skills,we dont have to kill to raise experience,we dont have a boss who is going to destroy our world,most of all,we dont have anything to do about saving the world. So whats life? Boring...we just need to work schedule and get our payslip,eat hamburgers to feed our stomach that is always hungry,and sleep like usual waiting to wake up and work again...We can only hope to have a nice dream,but we cant always dream...

Who you want to become?

Swordsman/Knight/Paladin - Character that is often related to the Hero. Most people especially guys like this character because they represent courage,power,justice,cool,handsome,manpower...(Im getting carried away,didnt I? LOL ^O^) and mostly their appearance are very "shiny", because of the armor they wear ^^. They expert in melee combat and defense you can always see them fighting fiercely in frontline. Favourite weapon is Sword,2HandSword,Axe,Spear,Hammer.

Mage/Wizard - Talk Mage talk Magic. It is the second most popular character due to the ability to cast elemental magic spells like fire, ice, wind, lightning. However, they always weak in physical (I dont know why and who start this...=_=). They represent intelligence,diplomatic,wisdom,nature,mature,sexy...(Again...^^;) and mostly their appearance are always slim and charming. Becareful that they may look like harmless but they may be the most powerful damage of all due to its large area effect which makes them the most important character for defeating boss. Favourite weapon is staff,orb,talisman,scroll,relics.

Archer/Bowman - It is the best and only character for long range attack. From simple arrow shooter evolving to trap expert,and train partners like wolf or eagle to assist them in battle,archer is the most variable and flexible character of all. They are slightly weaker than swordsman because they more concentrate on training their nimbleness and reaction for aiming the target faster and accurately in range while evade the enemy's attack when close. Its a hit and run character. Their appearance mostly are simple fitting. Their shots are critical and deadly. Favourite weapon is Bow,Crossbow,Slingshot.

Thief/Assassin/Rogue - Cunning, speed and ruthlessness,thats what represents them. They expert in stealing,hiding in shadow and assassination. Although their speed is the most powerful ability of all,but they never fight in front,they always find chance to backstab or cutthroat from behind,giving enemy no chance at all. Its not hard to recognize them as they always wear skinny and tight. Remember,dont turn your back on them! Favourite weapon is dagger,poison.

Acolyte/Cleric/Priest - The healer and protector of all. They master the divine and use the power over life and death. They may aide others with the holy power of light. They can also bless others with buff spells like shield or increase damage. Their healing power and buffs make them an essential partner along the journey. They represent mercy,holy,justice. Mostly girl like to play this because may be it is the natural inborn of girl to take care patients (Including me LOL :P) but now it is also getting popular for guys too ^^. Their appearance are same as magician,but usually have a holycross mark on their cloth. Favourite weapon is Mace,Hammer (They actually really use that to hit people? They suppose to be carrying a medic and do no harm to people since they are saving people not killing people XP)

Warrior/MartialArt/Monk - Spirits! Fight with bare hands! Thats what they believe in. Fancy fighting skills like Kung Fu or Qi (Inner Power) is what you can see from them. They only believe their bare hands and work hard on training physical body strength,they can fight like swordsman in melee combat,they can run fast like thief,they can nimble like archer,even they can heal themself in combat! They represent strength,toughness,mystery. Their appearance are mostly wearing a robe or like archer 's tight fitting unless they dont carry a bow :P This is a good choice if you like martial art and not swordsman. Favourite weapon is Glove.

Profession/Job

We dont just always looking for monsters to kill,sometimes we enjoy being a profession that we want. We can actually enjoy cooking,fishing,harvesting,dressmaking,smithing,alchemist,musician and more. Along the journey we gather all the drops and we sell to our dear npc,but some of it can use to make item. Most popular profession I see from many MMORPG is smithing and alchemist,because smithing can make weapons which our dear npc blacksmith normally dont have,and alchemist can make potion which the effect is better than our dear npc too ^^ Profession gives alot of fun, friends can gather together and make things to share each other. So far the best game that did this is Mabinogi,very recommended to play this MMORPG because it has more better friend relationship compare to other MMORPG, we can sit down together besides a fire in the night, waiting a friend making his cook, listening to a friend performing his lovely music, chatting while smithing a weapon or making a dress...it is so good :)

Monsters/Boss

Real life does not exist any monster. I remember the movie Monster Inc, I love the movie so much is because the story tells that this world does exist monsters and they live in another dimension to our world which sometimes they need to go to our world to collect energy which come from scaring us! XP The monsters are so cute and funny :) So we dont actually just dreaming about fantasy world and becoming hero if there is no monsters...We do love monsters, and I bet we have some favourite monsters in our mind too,right? ^^ Like goblin,ogre,golem,gargoyle,beast,skeleton,spiders. Monsters sure got their boss around (I believe that this monsters have salary paid by their boss ^O^) bosses like dragon,devil,beastking,skeleton captain,spider queen. So who is your favourite monster/boss?

MMORPG is getting better and real now,it is getting more people coming in the world of MMORPG as a part of life, as people enjoy becoming other person and experience the passion and dream which cannot get from real life. I would say I really enjoy being in MMORPG, because It is another side of dream.

I just hope that we dont need to GRIND so hard in our dream too ^O^
