Hi again all! Today I will Review the Release Ver. of Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, please understand that this Review is only relavent today and will not mean much in the distant or maybe even near future. First I will state my experience time ingame: I was in PvP Weekend, Early Access, and now 2 days into release. I have also been studying this game for over two years and have been in a community AoC guild for around 6 months now. My community guild (which is now ingame) has around 50-80 members and is growing by vast numbers everyday. I am on server Tyranny and am lvl15 now :). I will start my review by speaking of the manner of MMO AoC is: - Levels 1 ~ 10 - In a completely instanced world where you learn your beginning skills and how combat/movement works.
- Levels 11 ~ 20 - Takes place in the starting town, Tortage. Here you have other low levels as yourself and a multitude of quests. These quests are in 2 parts
- Single-Player - This is "Night" ver. of Tortage where you are instanced in the town. In this night ver of Tortage npcs and enemies are moved and this give t

 Well I just want to start off by saying this is a Two-part article. Because of my ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) I tend to drift from topic to topic. So I figure here I will start by letting You (the Reader) know up front so there is no misunderstanding on the topic. I intend to Speak about both named in the title...MMOs of 2008, DX10, but also the effect of DX10 on MMOs coming out this year.So let us start with the Major MMO releases scheduled for this year: 1. Pirates of the Burning Sea Pirates of the Burning Sea came out 1st quarter of this year. I feel that they went for more of a cartoon like look, like WoW. Though not a bad looking game it has been said to be a "deeper" game than it appears. This is one of the few games that takes the genre in new directions in way of innovation instead of just graphical appearance. The ship combat/trading system is very well thought out and designed from what I've seen, though the on land combat is a bit lacking, in my opinion. The economy and trading system is player ran and is also said to be more in depth than average. Yes, thats right! A new MMO for Adults!! I'm sure you all know about this game already, but Age of Conan is getting real close to it's release date. And to be truthful...I'm very excited! I'm sure you can already tell this because of the many "!" that you've seen already, well get ready for more!!! Now I don't usually get that excited over new MMOs due to the fact that they come out monthly, maybe even weekly, nowadays. And not to put these games down or say that they're bad, I just don't see any reason to play them over any other game. Ok, back to the topic at hand, AoC is gonna the first "M" rated MMO to be released (as far as I know anyway) and on top of the blood and nudity aspect, it is built on "Next-Gen" technology. DirectX10 that is, which I doesn't mean much to most, but for those who say " Vista is unstable, blah blah blah", I say this: I've have been running Vista Home Basic x64 for 13 months now. I have changed my computer Completely! twice since I installed it. To be more specific 2 Motherboards (Asus K8, MSI K9A2), from 4 x1gb ram sticks to 2 x2gb and 1 x 1gb stick, 3 GPUs (Geforce 7600, 8600, and Radeon 3870). The onl

As the title states, this is about the new mmorpg set to be released May 20, 2008. This game was origonally set to be released in April and was delayed due to the devs thinking the game wasnt finished enough. Now I must say that I have been anticipating this game for some time now and am seriously ready for it to be released. I have had it on preorder now for around a month (got my mom to buy it for my birthday, which is May 19, 1 day before release), my main reason for the preorder, other than the fact that I really want this game, is for the special siege mount you get for preordering. Age of Conan is set to be the first "Mature" rated mmo to be released to date. The rating is due to heavy gore and blood and the nudity that exists throughout the game and cinematics. I believe this is a great thing for our genre due to the more kiddy games that I've seen as of late. Like WoW, Flyff, Maplestory, and Pirates of the Caribean which was actually released by Disney. Even SOE (who run games like Star Wars, Matrix, and Vanguard) even has a child-like game coming out called Free Realms.
