Usually when people say it was their first time, they are talking about something completely different. Ha, HA! This time however I will say that what feels like decades ago Lunia became my first "good" MMO, now for those of you who don't really like Lunia understand that before I had been playing Maple Story. So the difference was amazing, and just wonderful.

I had started playing MMO's with a 2d side-scrolling sprite-styled game. When I was playing maple at the time I will admit it was fun and I thought it was awesomely set up. See I had no idea what else was out there so I was ignorant to the greatness of not only Lunia but the other great games we have on this lovely site. I'm not going to go through and list them after all if you have read any of my blogs you will know what games I do and do not like. Speaking of which I may start playing Exteel again. Back on topic.

So Rachel found this game Lunia, and said it had an anime character in it's advertisement so I was wanting to play it already. Being that I go to con's and such for anime I was drooling for this game before I even saw anything good about it. Then when we got into the game and I made my knight I was thinking it was going to be bad because I couldn't customize my character. Well! I was wrong about that! It turned out to be a very good game for those of us who enjoy arcades. I as a young child like some people did go to the arcade rooms and what not to play and have a good time. It was sort of like a hang out at the time, heck I still do that from time to time XP

Either way. The game is set up by stages and that at first I did not like to be honest, but since you have quests throughout the stages it was pretty interesting. Playing through the game even when doing quests doesn't feel like a grind even when you ARE grinding. Unless of course you're doing it alone then it's obviously a grind. However this game was good enough to distract me from the fact I was questing and grinding at the same time. It got to the point I needed to be reminded.

"Don't forget to talk to that guy after we finish the stage"
"What guy?"
"The quest guy in the middle of the town, Dork"
"Oh! Right yeah him!"

I absolutely love that about the game, not only that but you can upgrade your weapons and see hidden stats on them as well. Upgrading can be very risky and you can lose a very good weapon but it's like that for pretty聽 much every game to be honest that has this feature.(notice I said pretty much, meaning I don't know if there are games where it's not risky to upgrade a weapon.) Then there are rare items you can get from boses that just look so great, the community in the game, and in the forums is rather nice, but i wont lie. There were some Donkey's in the threads before at one point, but that was also when hackers were in the game a long time ago. Now there aren't any hackers that I know of playing.

The game is ever changing, and although the global version of it is behind the others it is going to change over to another company and do more then a little catching up. Unfortunately though the last character that is going to be added is the ONE i really want to play as next to my high level knight.

Skills on this game are beautifully done, not only that but there is not a single skill on any character that is not useful. In fact the Healer class or Eir as her name is can do a great deal of damage as well as heal. Which is more helpful then one might think. Most people just want their healer to stay in the back and heal. On this game you NEED the support of healing and attacking when going up against bosses. Especially Legend bosses. Oh man those are a pain, along with Daru. I wont explain that, but if you play long enough for yourself you will find out what I mean, and trust me it is worth it.

If at first you don't like it, get a friend to play with you. It's always better that way, and I've found that playing a game with someone makes it a lot more fun and easier to bare the grind which pretty much vanishes in this game.

To be honest when encountering higher level characters on the game they are less snobbish then in most games. Then again that is a great find in any game. The armors and weapons on Lunia are very unique if I do say so myself, and I do! I would have never guessed a Knight would dress like that or a wizard for that matter(I would if I was one that's for sure). Then there is Eir who although she is a princess wears very interesting clothing. The other characters are pretty grand with their atire as well, but since I haven't played as any of those I wont go on talking about something i hardly know anything about.

Anywho. I had not played this game in months almost four or five, then we downloaded it again(by we I mean rachel, and I) Opening it up a few minutes ago while she was in class I got a nostalgic feeling. Much like you do when you have emotions toward something you have kept locked away for no reason then saw it again. I liked that feeling let me tell you what!

Anyway. I highly recomend this game to any of you out there who like Arcade style games. Not point and click. For those of you who enjoy the point and click style I wouldn't try this one out so much. Also if you have ever watched Records of Lodoss war then this game will make you smile.

That is my diagnostic for nows. Bye till later everyone!<3 ^3^
