Lets face it those who are even considering this game are more then likely big fans of the show, however that can be a bad thing due to the fact it's an mmo which I personally don't know if will be F2P or P2P. That isn't really a big factor, but this game is going to get if it has not already(which I think it has) a great deal of hype. Sadly it will be hard to mimic a show such as DragonballZ or Dragonball even on a computer for a wide range of people to play. From the screens it appears that it's more of a click to move sort of thing which I would disagree with being the greatest vantage point to take on this. Since Dragonball is a fast paced and high hard hitting action show the keyboard would be easier to use. Then again I have NO idea how it's going to work so I will just have to wait and see(probably a long time.)

Moreover the game is going to compare to the show like it or not because that's the market they are going for: fans of the show. So in other words they are either going to hit the nail on the head or completely miss and possibly break all their fingers. (did you get that? It was a hammer pun XD). There will of course be those of you who play the game without any or much knowledge of the show. It will shock me if there is someone out there who was access to it, but does not know much of anything about the show or have even heard of it. Chances are you have been around someone talking about the show or something like that.

Another aspect we have to look at is that if they are in fact going off of the show Dragonball instead of Dragonballz(which for those who don't know is pretty much the second season to the series. From then it goes in saga's till it gets to GT which was a literal waste of time and money). If so then we have to factor in the possibility of humans being just as strong as the Sayans since they did not come into true power until Dragonballz. What i'm guessing is that this game will work off patches like sagas or episodes rather. In other words when it starts there will be no super sayan skill, and then a patch comes along telling more of the story and you can either learn the skill to become a super sayan if you have in fact chosen a sayan character to create.

I also noticed that they had a Namekian character in the creation slot. One must understand if you have not seen either Dragonball or Dragonballz that the namekians were pretty powerful in Dragonball in fact the Piccolo of Dragonball is not the Dragonballz Piccolo. That is actually an egg that was spat out from the original Piccolo in Dragonball who was an evil asshole!(an awesome one though.) So this would also be a good reason for them to do the higher level gaining by patches.

After all it would be insane if one could go from sayan to super sayan 4 right when the game was released. For that matter namekian to super namekian. If you have not seen the movie with Lord slug in it there is actually a state where namekians can gain a high level. Another reference would be when Piccolo fused with Kami.

This game has a lot to live up to, that alone, plus the hype might actually be the death of this game. Mainly because the majority of those who do play or simply wish to play are all die-hard fans of the show. This of course includes yours truely.

Honestly I would love to give this game a go, but I'm really worried about the turn out. When I first heard about it being developed late last year I was so excited and then I started thinking about how they would do the skills, leveling system, would it be f2p or not, how the movement would be, and over all would it amount up to the actual show. Now I'm not so sure what the outcome will be. I have high hopes for this game, but that's all they are is hopes. Understand this I have high hopes as a big dragonball/z fan and anime nerd but low expectations.

Lets think here what exactly would the quests be like? It sounds a bit hard to think of something that would follow the flow of Dragonball but having a whole lot of them to do in order to gain experience. Not counting of course the talking and training quests. Those are just simple go talk to this person and get this item, or go see so-and-so and they will teach you blah blah blah. Now one might argue that in some of their ps2 games they had something like quests with the story. No they really didn't they just followed the story of the show and threw in some side fights, not stories, just side fights. So the game would seem more 3-D character wise.

Further more I'm curious if one will be able to go into the hyperbolic time chamber for some heavy crazy ass training. I doubt it, or you may have to pay cash to spend time in there because it would probably be the equivilant of 2x exp card just on a different map. Who knows, and they may even start you off there or a quest could be to go there to train and keep up with someone(not die) for a certain amount of time. They CAN do a variety of quests, but I'm worried they wont think of anything really revolutionary to the story or that ground breaking as an MMO.

I will say this: When the closed beta comes out, or the CBT as some would call it. I don't really expect much other then them showing off the fact they made a game for Dragonball that is an MMO. When they start progressing into the OBT and then the opening of the game that's when I expect to see something awesome come out of this or something dreadful that i'm going to wish I hadn't wasted time waiting for this game to come out.

These are just my views on it, but if there are any really crazy dragonball or dragonballz fans that would like to share ideas on this topic please contact me I can talk about anime for days not just this series.

Though I would like to hear the views of some people who don't know much about the show or anime in general. Just an open topic as all my blogs tend to be.

It's always nice to play your favorite heroes in the show or villians. However it may be refreshing to try it out where you decide to be the hero or the villian by your own actions. If that will even be possible in the mmo. Far too little information right now...

So I'd like to play a console Dragonball game other than a Dragonball MMO. Becaues you won't be able to play the role of your heroes in MMO, just ineract with them.
