boomp3.comThis interesting titlle(game) has a huge possibility to become a hit later down the lines with 2D gaming fanatics everywhere. Even the actual game title "Tcrew" hides a little bit of what it is honestly about. I myself tried to sit down and guess the meaning behind the name before finally just giving into my curios nature and looking it up on the games website. Well for all you readers out there the title of the game actually stands for "Treasure Crew", and it's pretty much exactly what it sounds like.

Within the world of the game you take on levels that use strategy with a group of people, or by yourself not to mention with your own Crews which will be explained later on within this article. The game itself is a keyboard game that is almost completely done as such except for selecting items, stages, and selling things as one could guess. That after all would be slightly bothersome. Though a lot of people may actually love that trait in a game one just never knows.

Now lets start by explaining a little bit about the characters abilities in this game. Your personal character as in the one you actually control has no real skill of it's own. The only power so to speak that it has is to control Crews, up to four of them. The problem with that most of you may say is that the character is pretty much useless why not just play as the Crew. Well to be honest it is much more fun this way and they have unique attributes within the game to get around that little "flaw" as some may call it.

If any of you have seen the show Digimon, or Pokemon it is pretty close to that except it relates more toward the first selection than the latter of the two. In this game one starts off as a rookie (like in most all games) and must go through tutorials that show how to move around and the like. The teacher can be some what of a prick though.

If you'll notice within the screen shot there are things floating around the characters head that would be an example of one of the many different crews within the game, but don't get ahead of yourself there my friend you still have to complete all of the tutorial in order to even advance that far. Once that is actually done then they will give you the option between which Crew you wish to start off with. (classic Digimon, Pokemon gaming style) When you have selected your first little crew they send you off to a not so far away land in effort to collect little crystals(pay close attention those come in handy.)

The crystals that you beat out of the enemy are what help you level the little crews that you have, and as they level they develop a greater friendship with you for further progression in the game. In essence it makes controlling them easier and the game a lot more smoother for the casual and even the typical hardcore gamer.

As for leveling the Crews they level as they learn skills in this game instead of the other way around. Once you collect enough crystals for that certain skill and "learn" it they will level. Now at times they will not level because you are needing to level a certain amount of skills first. However the Crew will never just level without learning a skill that is simply not how the game is set up. Furthermore each crew only has the compacity to hold up to six skills. Now these skills can range from talking to the player and giving them hints on what they need to do, to giving the player an extra power boost in it's attack, attacking with the player(which from now on will be referred to as a Crewger), or blocking an attack from a monster attacking the Crewger. Now it's not all that hard to do really and each Crew comes with it's own unique skill in the start of things.

Below you will see not only the Crewger and his stats, but also the Crew held that floats around with him and it's stats. Not to mention the actual skills it has learned, and how to learn them if you have a careful eye the bubble to learn is just under the skill selection. In addition the skills have what the cost is for them printed right on top of the picture for the skill. Moreover all one has to do in order to get a description of what the skill does is highlight it with their mouse, simple as that.

Tcrew itself is set up in a lobby/stage based environment much like Grand Chase however the actual game play between the two are very different. The stages are really abnormal for a 2D side scrolling game, but it is very refreshing to see something new spring forth in this recession of originality. The stage itself is completely free roam other than the water which if you fall into well you are just going to die. There is no swimming and when you're lugging around a huge weapon it is really hard to swim especially when the character is so reluctant to release said weapon.

As Bunny would say "It reminds me of a console game or an arcade game where you have to go through stages like that" What she is speaking of is the free roam tactic and the strategy needed to complete said stage. In truth the stages strategic points change every time one enters it. So while you can do the same level over and over again the way to open doors, etc....changes within every entry to the level. Thankfully though you have unlimited lives in the adventure stages unless you want a harder challenge and change that option yourself!

Now comes the actual reason behind the name "Tressure crew" for once the stage is completed a bounty of booty is ready for the taking.~argh, swaggleswaggle~. So be quick and mount up your crew for the adventure that be at hand!

Not only do you get a large chest of tressure to split between yourself and your party members, you also get to choose a random reward at the end of the stage. For example notice how in the first screen shot in the two below there are cards that are flipped over and can not be seen, and in the second screen shot of the two below one card is flipped over and shows the random reward. You of course get to select it but you do not know what you are selecting. In fact you have the chance of getting a new crew or even a boss card. However even if you get a new crew you have to get the item that lets you control them. For example Fire crab needs a Laturn, and Ruby needs an Ice box.

Now be ware there are bosses not only in the stages but extra bosses that have their own unique stages. Let me warn you that these bosses "spank" not to the literal extent but they are very hard to complete not only by yourself but even with two people so it is wise to open up the stage to the max amount of people in order to destroy that boss and gain that oh so unholy item(side note: items are not really unholy and any side effects of the player becoming unholy Tcrew and gamengame are not responsible via EULA. ((JOKING!)) ) With theses bosses unlike the normal stages the max amount of lives a Crewger can have is only five. Good luck!

As if the bosses were not hard enough on their own it's really taxing to even aquire the material to get into the stage. As stated in a prior paragraph you have the chance of getting a boss card, which is only one of the items needed to get into the bosses stage. You also need to gain a boss key, and a stone in order to activate the card to get into the stage. Also everyone in your party has to have activated said card or they can not join in on the game. Now don't get me wrong you can buy all these things in the item store...if you have the gold, and although the tressure chest looks like it spits out a lot of gold and you may think you gain a lot in the levels you really do not. The best luck would be to get gold from the random card selection at the end of a stage. Below you will see the item shop and a show case of what you need to obtain in order to activate the boss card.

((yes, yes there is a little person giving you advice while you do this))

Last but not least there is the actual game screen in which you wait for it to start. It's simple really, two platforms with the characters stationed there. Within this area one can select the "decoration" button which allows them to look through the items they already have and add skills to their Crew, or they can go to the item shop which is self explanatory but hey for the hell of it I'll tell you. It's where you spend all your hard earned gold from the stages that you've completed. There is also the option to go back into tutorials, check your mail, send mail, exit the game, or just go back to the lobby.

I will release more information about this game on a later note, mind you all I have only played for a day.

~joy to you all

once again I say to you all "actually read my article" I said it was a "possible" hit not a direct hit. Meaning it has the possibility to fail as well. As for the same attacks yes that is true, and for the same pets, the highest level player on the game currently is 20 so there is no possible way for one to have played with all of the pets even on the site there are around 12 listed and this is only closed beta. Each pet has it's own unique attribute and the higher the level is the more powerful skills it learns. So it's not a boring game, but I can say nothing of areonauts because i've never played it.

It's a good game, but to say a hit, is far too predictable.
