Outbreak: Anime hits American MMO industry!

For a long time people who consider them self to be a hard core gamer so on and so forth have been complaining about the sudden outreach toward Anime styled games coming in from Asia over to America. Of course I am speaking of mmo's nothing more because we have had Anime based and styled games in the United States for a very long time, and although people may not like it those who don't are such a minority that it does not matter. Moreover those that don't like it in the MMO community are not聽 really the majority, well they are a huge minority but it was enough complaints to get this article written that is for sure.

A lot of people are very clear on the concept of Supply and Demand. Where the customers what it, or crave it generating a great demand and the Industries and companies come together and grant it, or Supply it in other words. Simple tactic of supply and demand. The more the customers want the more the Companies push out.

American companies are not really all that big on creating Anime styled games on their own, so as of late they have been taking on the more popular games that have been out for a while. Actually this is not something that has happened lately. In fact most of the games we get coming over toward the Global region have been out for years. Even Mabinogi which was an excellent game and still is, was an older game from an Asian country, or Foreign country rather.

Allow me to prattle on and on about this subject matter because people do not seem to understand this concept either: If you don't like it do not play it. Just like if you do not like someone you avoid being around them to the best of your ability. If in fact you do go around them often that is just your own fault. Like if you play a game you know you wont like, and that does not fit your style that is your own fault.

So long as Anime continues on becoming more and more of a trend(which in itself is annoying, I love anime but not it being a trend) and more American youths get into it for the fad or actually just like it the more MMO's based on animes or just styled like them you will see us start to generate and move over to the Global industry. Simply because there is a high demand for it. So if you actually have a lament toward it or some sort of deranged hatred of the genre you are going to have to either ignore the sudden outbreak or just get over it. Sad but true and yes no one likes to be told that, but it is what needs to be said. We need to face the harsh reality of things people.

Even I have to face the harsh reality. For example I do not exactly enjoy seeing adult themed games coming to the MMO community but I will defend their right and reasoning for doing it. Why? Supply and demand. I am positive that there are people out there who have been waiting for something like this to come along, and will get hooked easily. So even if they are F2p or P2P someone is going to sink hundreds into those games. It's called smarts and almost every game company has them.

The masses of full american companies are starting not only to buy out rights from other foriegn companies but they are also becoming partners in some cases. Though I can not think of a positive case that I am sure of right now, but go look through the wonderful site of MMO and you will notice some things. Such as the springing forth of 2D sidescrollers that were once restricted from being global let alone being in America's reach of play. These are almost always Anime styled actually they always are I have yet to see one where it was not. In truth there is one I would love to see become global but it'll be a while before that happens if ever.

Even the game that I praise so much "Lunia" did not start here in America,聽 so it is only appropriate that it gets mentioned here. Besides all of that it still boils down to supply and demand people. Wherever you look you will find companies taking in things that gather items, or any sort of product to make them money. They as an industry may not like the product but they will bring it under their name if it will make them a good product margin.

Since it has been a while since I have done a blog in a while so I hope this isn't too bad of a blog though it is shorter than my usual ones. I beg your forgiveness. </3

Well, anim茅 graphics are nice, but it is in the way it's presented. But nowadays, we are being thrown to death with that stuff. Now, a trend is nothing new, but if they(the ones that continue the trend) see stuff that is overly repetitive, they will go away as well.

They just don't know that not every anim茅 is something god made, they'd have to look for it. But even then, the public that is being shown anim茅 to, are impressionable people that we are talking about. I'm not talking about that violence is bad, i'm talking about the experience such a group got. And that is not alot, if i'm right.

That's why there is a raise in demand for anim茅, methinks. Anim茅 is primarily shown to those people. And the group tendencies of those people drive them to do the same thing everyone else does. So, what i'm guessing at right now, Is that anim茅 is drivren by a hurdle of sheep, that somehow likes it...

I wouldn't say that anime-styled mmorpgs have lousy graphics. But yes I agree that the current (big) majority of mmo's out there have only average-quality graphics. It is the developer's responsibility to make the game turn out perfect as in how its was planned to be. In the case of an anime-styled mmo, the fact that it is intended to look like anime characters/avatars IS NOT AN EXCUSE for the developer to result the game in being a low-poly, low-cut game in terms of graphics. Take for example, FLYFF - The avatars and monsters actually turned out relatively low-poly even when the game intended to anime-like. So as long as I can see that the game developer put much effort into making the game look beautiful regardless of the game's style and theme, I wont mind having more anime-like mmo's.

Like stranger said, i could careless if it was anime or not. As long as it keeps my attention for longer then 20 minutes then ill play it. But thats where my problem springs is that there hasnt been a MMO to date that has motivated me to play past level 15. FlyFF is just a long boreing grind, seriously boreing, i quit at level 17. But ill admit its mainly my problem because my expectations are probably way to high for most of the MMO's that release. But anyway good read.

Yes, it is about supply and demand, but the only reason people are making anime style mmo's is mainly because the 'medieval' genre typical kind of mmo's are getting boring, recently most of the new mmo's coming out are anime style, although they are not based on an anime the graphics relate to them. I would not be suprised if all the mmo's from now on are based off TV shows.

Dude seriosly work on your writing pls! And the anime thing is doesn`t make a lot of sense. Anime is a part of mmos beacuse is make graphics a lot better. U are those ppl how only see one factor of something. U are forgetting that theres games with out those graphics that ppl like a lot. For me I love anime its a combination of funny and real special in a way that combains real and fantasy. Thats way i like to play only anime base mmo`s.

I'll take that with a grain of salt. If you actually read through what I was saying I did include that there was an Anime themed or styled MMO that even I wanted to play. Meaning that I obviously enjoy those sort of games. As for my grammar I honestly do not see anything wrong with it, but alas we all have our own opinions on such matters do we not? IN conclusion the only thing that I even admitted that I would have to "get over" is the adult industry. So please next time read through what I put in my blog before coming to a drastic and unrelenting end point. Sorry i said in conclusion but I must continue. This article was for people who complained about anime styled MMO's and I do believe that I said so in the beginning of the article. Since I do not know how to break up paragraphs in these comment boxes I will just continue on to say this. Anime viewers in the United States has become more of a trend: They watch it to fit in. So since it sells America has been buying out more Anime based games then anything else. That is pretty much my article in a nutshell. So you can say what you will about my grammar, but actually read my article before you critique it next time please

Dude, no offense or anything, but you really and I mean, really, need to work on your grammar, formating and paragraph structuring. Furthermore, your topic is also a little detached from reality. I mean so what, Anime influences the gaming market, get over it. Essentially, the gaming market has long been driven by Australasian countries and other more technologically advanced countries such as Japan.
To be blunt, I don't care the destination from which a game is derived, so long as it is good.
Well, I think you must be young, taking into consideration your improper use of discourse and countless sentence fragmentations and run-ons, so keep at it. You just need to get your style refined a little.
