First lets start with something a lot of people may like: when you create your character you get to pick your job class. Sadly there are only three classes to choose from in the start of things, but don't worry they branch out. Your first classes consist of Assassin, Warrior, and Soolsa(mage/priest). Yet when you actually make your character the customization is very...well limited. The only thing you can change is the hair and face. Yep that's it.

When it comes to MMO's I have a very biased opinion on them being that I love the skills that are really flashy, and typically if the game does not have anything flashy in it I will just out right hate it. Regardless this game did not have any sort of flashy skill for my job class( Assassin) however I gave it a chance, because once I logged in I saw how vast the first map was and honestly I was impressed with that. What did bother me was the fact that the community is heavily populated with NPC's I have honestly never seen that many NPC's in a game that give out so many pointless and ridiculous quests until I played this game.

Speaking of quests, at the start of the game of course you get the silly little "go talk to this perso

0 Digg it    What MMO's have done for me

There is a weird truth about what playing an MMO can do for an individual. For some it wont do anything at all which is why the modifier "can" was used, but for others depending on the game it can do great things. Some games would increase reaction time depending on the battle system. If for example they had a good combo system where you had to catch a moving bar and hit a key within a certain amount of time or something along those lines. Most games that have good system in which would increase the reflex time within a player rest within the dancing realm. Like Audition where you have to hit the right key at the right time. It's more of an advanced, or rather a different version of DDR(Dance Dance Revolution)

Now remember I'm only stating it could possibly help with reaction time, not saying that it absolutely will.

However we must move on from that example, so I may further explain what playing MMO's for so long has actually done for me in a way that benefits me, or has benefited me in some sort of way. To be very honest it was the communities within the games I have played. In my every day life i distance myself from the people around me that I do not know t

1 Digg it    My ideas on Flyff

My first discovery of Flyff was an interesting one for I have never encountered a game where one could gain items and fly upon them. Hince what Flyff stands for: Fly for fun. That alone intrigued me enough to give the game a shot. Though playing through it for only a little while I quickly lost interest within the first few hours of leveling. Now back when the game was first opened to the general public leveling took a long time, as for now I am not so sure.

Though I will say that I was very impressed with the quality of the graphics within the game. It was done in an anime style but it was a more clean and cut version of the anime style as far as being in 3D goes. Though there are very few games who attempt the 3D feel with an anime style graphic based game because realism and anime don't really go hand in hand when it comes to how they look. Regardless to this day I still think that as far as graphics go Flyff has done it's job very well.

The items within this game are very interesting and honestly extremely unique at least to me that is. For example the jesters have the ability to use Yo-Yo's as a primary weapon instead of a traditional Bow(which is also available).

It took a great deal of time, but she was able to get her arms around him and pull him from the sight that was his parents bodies lathered in their own fluids. Even though she got him away from all of it and onto his bed it was days before he would really say anything. Instead the young man spent his days staring up at the ceiling and not responding to what she was saying to him. After all he had just gone through a lot, and unfortunately his mind had become slightly shattered. Which was not all that big of a surprise, regardless she kept him in a tight hold and nuzzled into him as long as she could.

Three days had passed and he finally spoke up asking many questions too many, and far too fast for her to answer. The boy was speaking in such an incoherent manner that she had gotten frustrated with his antics and shouted for him to slow down. Her shouts were muffled by her tears for fear of her love having completely lost his mind. Yet still his soft brown eyes slowly trailed over to bring her into view, and he said nothing again. She cried harder and hid her face in his chest.

Time at this moment stood still, and for her it was very tense in fact it was almost becoming unbearable bu

0 Digg it    The perfect MMO: An unrealistic dream
  Views: 131  |  Category : Industry, ideas? |  Post time : 2008-05-16 12:11:23    Comments: 2  |  Bookmark
No matter how hard we try people, and no matter how far we look, it's a simple fact that the perfect MMO will never be created. Why? It's not because we don't have the technology to make such a game, and although you could say everyone has their own perfect MMO that would be false as well. Everyone has their own idea of a perfect MMO, but for it to be true perfection it would have to breech all gaps in games period not just for that one person or a set crowd but Society as a whole.

Alright now lets break this down shall we. (redundant question!) Every person out there who has their favorite game has also found it in their head that they believe the game would be better if they _______ or it would be so awesome if the game had_______ thus exposing the fact that even though the game may be your favorite it is far from perfect, and never will be because the higher quality it gets in the general region you are looking the more you will expect and want from it.

Sure you could say "A Perfect MMO can just keep you coming back for more" once again that would be an opinion, but the sad truth is that: because we are humans we are just so freaking hard to please as such we will nev

For those of you who are familiar with the site gaiaonline.com you would know there is a gaia prom thing coming up. At first I really didn't take it seriously, and I still really don't. However that is not to say that I wont be taking Bunny to it just for fun and something to do together, because I most certainly am taking her.

Though the topic of this is because I saw a video of other guys dancing and felt as though I was challenged. As such I posted two videos on youtube of myself and my friend Chocolatefang1 dancing. ha HA!...dancing.

well this was purely for fun so I hope you all enjoy.

I dunno how to add videos directly in so sorry for the linkage XD

0 Digg it    MMOsite, and me

boomp3.comTo be honest when I first came to this site I saw it as nothing more than a place where I could farm for games to play(you know just to pass the time). Maybe even find some game out there that would keep me hooked for a long period of time, and when I came across the site the prospect of that was just down right awesome. Regardless I started playing any game I could find on the site even the ones that at first did not look like they would keep my interest. Which obviously led to me finding out the hard way how to pick and choose my games, or at least which ones I want to invest a lot of time in.

So months would pass before I would even notice the little blog section of the site. At first I just figured it was something along the lines of people posting about their days or things like that. Thankfully I came across an article that made me see the light so to speak. This section was for gamers to report on their findings or to recruit other gamers to play a certain game with them. Those however were only two examples of what could be done with the blog section of this site.

No matter I did not start off posting anything wonderful because I was still wet behind the ears unfo

0 Digg it    My adaptation within the MMO world
  Views: 192  |  Category : Idle thoughts |  Post time : 2008-05-13 08:25:43    Comments: 5  |  Bookmark
boomp3.comGenerally speaking my very first MMO was in fact maple story. Now in it's defense it's a pretty alright game to start off with, but nothing more. It truly is nothing to get addicted over, and sadly I have seen some people actually become addicted to this game without exploring the vast world of MMO's. To speak bluntly I personally am happy that I have given up Maple story and moved onto other games, but to be honest at random moments I get the urge to play it. Maybe it's to see how the guild is still holding up or even just to get in a few mob kills just for old times sake. I honestly am not sure, but I do know that I never act out on these urges no matter how hard that may end up being.

While enjoying my rather lack luster experience within the game of maple I eventually got tired of the usual grind and wondered if there was in fact something better out there. Thankfully my better half ran across an add for Lunia on a website she was going through, and yes this was far before I joined MMOsite which I will talk about later within this article. Moreover when I began playing Lunia I was absolutely shocked that there were games out there like this, and it's pretty und

2 Digg it    Thoughts of V.R. MMO
  Views: 208  |  Category : Idle thoughts |  Post time : 2008-05-12 01:08:22    Comments: 4  |  Bookmark
boomp3.comA weird topic to try to handle, but to be honest it has been on my mind for a while now, and the sad thing is I know this wont happen at least not in my life time. However I would love to actually have a V.R (virtual reality) MMO to come into existence before I leave existence. I guess you could say I watch too much anime because this was not my original idea and I will never take claim to it. (look up dot.hack) Either way the general out look on this would to don' some sort of head gear that brings the player literally into the game making it so that they are actually in the world much like you are in this world. The taste, touch, feel, and all the senses going crazy with this new environment. Though of course you wouldn't be allowed to feel pain the only true pain of death would come from experience loss or however the particular MMO handles death.

Regardless there would be some limitations to it, and some risks as well. If one can go into seizures from playing games (frequently) then they should probably not even invest in something like this. The reason being that not only would there be bright lights but they would seem realistic and up close considering you are yo

2 Digg it    Clones oh a world for clones
  Views: 733  |  Category : Paradox's Writing Corner(W.C) |  Post time : 2008-05-08 09:52:14    Comments: 4  |  Bookmark
boomp3.comIt has come to my attention, or rather the attention of the masses that there have been a lot of games put out said to be "clones" or generally "copies" of another game. Usually it is said to be a copy of whatever game is first known so it could be a complete matter of opinion in fact this whole topic is a matter of opinion. The reasoning behind that is simple: if a game was an actual direct copy of another then they would be facing some serious legal issues. Sure they could get around it by changing certain things but as vague and at the same time strict copyright laws are it's rather hard to do that.

First things first let us cover that oh so talked about issue of Maple story having five or six other clones out there. The problem with this is that a lot of people believe that maple story originated the 2D side scrolling genre. Well I hate to tell all of you maple lovers this but as far as I know Ghost online came first, but you hardly ever hear of someone claiming Maple to be a copy of ghost. That is mainly because Maple story is more popular now due to a lot of reasons. All in all it is a good game minus the grind, but it is not the father of all
