I am going keep this short but i am going to nick pic some things about runes of magic. Frist let me say its a good game cant hate but yet can love. Also i am not a wow fan. i know ppl hate wow and based bais opinons on the crappy demo but thats not the point so lets get started.

 Runes of Magic Review
Runes of Magic took me longer to review because of all the other games I had to play over the break like Left 4 Dead, Gears of War 2 and yes Paper Mario 2. The hot topic of this game is that people think that it is very similar to World of Warcraft (a.k.a WoW). Well the truth is yes the game is very similar to WoW but with a few short comings.

Graphics 
Let me say that the game isn’t eye candy. The game looks great for the average F2P mmo player but to me games like Domo, tabula rassa, and Guild Wars look better. Lots of people say WoW looks to cartoony but if you take the time to think about Cartoony graphics would last far longer than decent graphics because in 3 to 4 years it would look like garbage. In my honest opinion they should do some cell shading like what they did in domo. The game has some great visuals though it can be better.
  
Sound
This kills the game so bad. I am not expecting music to blow me away but there no battle music and the music doesn’t loops automatically. So, you would be listening to nothing for a while. Even though of the game has some problems the game has excellent music for its genre. the game dioloag is boring but unlike other games this game dosent even attept to make some characters talk!

Game play
The download for this game is 3.4 gigs which is a bit too big for me. I don’t have a bad connection but even games like the crisis demo is less than that. I should also warn you if you are running a integrated graphics card then don’t bother with this game. Intell internal graphics cards wont work. You should use a decent not great graphics card. So that $500 nVidea 9800 ultras will be a bit too much. That’s Why I have to use my gaming pc due to the problems I had on my work computer. But there great news its vista friendily.

The game play is very standard. People love to compare this to W.o.W but sadly to say it’s on the same scale of WoW there are no vehicles and I am not sure mounts are not free. There is pvp in the game and other stuff but the coolest thing I think is the housing system. The housing system is a room whare you can design you own house like you want. Kinda like animal crossing. 
The dual class system is like holic but you can switch on the fly. Also it seems like a waste cause you can’t mix and match skills like what they did on Domo. The good news that they are alot of players that are willing to party but the problem is since of the techical issues that alot of people who are a dont meet the requirements cant play. So the world is empty not packed how i like it.

Now to one of the main features and that is you can customize you face and clothing. The game has about 20 faces/hair styles also you can decide how tall, broad, even fat you can be. I think to colour you own armor is great but is not free. So I am wonder why stress on it as a great feature on an f2p game. 

heres some things that i dont like:

• No cut sceenes
• No talking characters(WoW,GW,4story have all done this)
• not sure if clothing colouring is free but if it isnt that would suck. 

Overall this game is not a WoW clone but a game that barrows from everyone like holic, wow, animal crossing and more. But is not done well enough. I would recommend this to the person who cant afford wow. But for those who can don’t play the crappy demo and base you opinon on that but actually buy the game and play it or play WAR. Another option is Dark fall online. Overall this game gets a 7.5 out of 10. Its over hyped but still good. I am not a wow fan by the way! i would also recomend this game to people who are serious addicts and want to stop but still need to have some WoW feel in there lives.

I still belive the game will get better over the year. The game needs more people. I would recomend this list of games if you can't or want to play it.
