WoW Gamer Found out internet Addiction rehab was Illegal Detention

Li Xiaofei, an average Chinese gamer, who was reported two years ago successfully getting rid of the addiction in World of Warcraft, recently had reported a case to the local police. He charged the WeiSu Youth Center (known as internet addiction center) for imprisoning him illegally for 36 days.

Because of being addicted in his favorite online game World of Warcraft, Li Xiaofei was forced to WeiSu Youth Center by his worried parents in the December of 2007, it spent him one month and five days there, accepting so called "treatment"

"I was sent to the base by my parents, they thought I had the internet addiction, especially the game addiction, but I don't think I had such problems they diagnosed." Li Xiaofei said, "and they don't know what happened to me there, I think I was imprisoned" According to his statements, the base restricted Li Xiaofei's personal freedom, rejected his every possible request to contact his relationships outside, and he also had to take medicines which were only for psychotics.

"If I refused orders, they beat me, and I had been wounded twice there." he added, "I believe they have already crossed the line of being a regular cure center for internet addition. What they'd done to me was illegal  imprisonment,"

According to the latest news, the police has accepted his report and start to investigate and collect evidences.

Yah Never let me down do you Hyuk  thank you for another great article

But seriously Online Gamers can be addicted yes, but parents dont have to take it so seriously, its very easy to get rid off, I think a rehab center is a bit extreme and an illegal one at that.............

Well Anyways nice work Hyuk, Ever thought of being a Reporter?

Hahaha, Crazy Asians >.>... Just kidding.

I Don't Think You Could Cure An Addiction For Net Gaming Unless You Were Dead Period. Technically Everyone Now A Days Is Addicted To The Internet, Main Reason Being, Because Even Work, And School Now A Days, Require The Net To Even Do Work, Or Schoolwork, So Many People Have Depended On This, That The Need For socializing In Person Is Virtually Useless Now.

The thing is it is an extreme measure but many people who deny that have a gaming addiction probably have a pretty bad case of it. I mean we dont know what his backround is we jsut know he is sueing for harassment in a dentention center.......
