Nexon Closes the Vancouver Development Studio

I feel sorry to mention this news, Jesus Christ  approximately 90 employees lost their jobs in Nexon's development studio lacated at Vancouver yesterday (Jan.27th), and the studio was now shuttered. According to Kotaku's report, one of their tipsters indicates that the news came by way of a studio-wide meeting in the morning on Jan. 27, which was expected to result in only half of the workforce being let go.

The Vancouver studio was actively working on the development of Nexon titles. The company's existing properties - MapleStory, Combat Arms, Mabinogi, etc. - should not be affected by this closure.

For me, Nexon will always be in my heart for having created Mabinogi (As far as I know, Mabinogi was developed by one of their studios, DevCat), actually I've no idea they got a base in Vancouver. Anyone tells me what games made by Vancouver Studio?

if u think nexon so smar and u sugest using shops how about they stoped being stuborn and release games to europe asians and americans ain't the only ppl that plays games

Sugar Rush was developed in North America, by a group in Vancouver, but from what I read it was an independant studio that developed it and they just published it?

 

Anyway, sorry to get off subject, but...  I thought all caps was bad, but that note under this one with capital letters for every single word is horrible to try to read too!  Ugh my head hurts looking at it.

I Can't Say I Really Feel Sorry For Them, Lots Of People Where I Live In Canada Have Been Losing Jobs, It's Not Due To People Not Using The Cash Shop,,, it's Due To The Stock markets, And How Badly They've Been Doing, This Is The Cause Of Most Job Losses, And Why it's Happening. All of Nexons Games Have Been pretty Succesful, Heck, There's Tons of People In Mabinogi, Maple Story, And Other games That Do Use Cash Shops, You Can Walk Around The Games And See Nearly 40% Who Actually Do Use Cash Shop Items. Take A Look At Mabinogi For Example, The People Who Play That, Which is Still Quite A Few, Mostly Have All Rebirthed, Which Costs Cash Shop Items. The Main Reason Is Due To The Fact, As I Said, The Stock markets Are Doing Horrible.

That makes me sad...

To zalin:  Not all of us have the money or way to use the cash shop...  And that might not be the main issue for their job loss anyway...

This is what happends if you dont use the cash shop people lose there jobs and soon after that the game gets shut down, if you like the game then use the cash shop from time to time!
