Alright, don't get me wrong, Ceo is not the Chief Executive Officer, it's one of the bloodcurdling hell in Mabinogi, especially to those who don't handle a clever, expedient way of controlling battle skills. How to make a living and get survival in Ceo Island? Well I hope this guide could help. First of all, get familiar with the terrain
Ceo Island is a remote islet southwest of Emain Macha, in there golems dominate everything. Don't you know what is the golem? Check the information in Mabinogi Vault. There are lots of good stuff in Ceo, such as rare herbs, pure color sheilds and armors.
I still remember the days when I stayed in Ceo and hunt the golems, Obviously it was very hard to Kill ten without a death. But after hunting more and more, there was a simple way that I figured out to keep myself alive for a long time. OK, cut it to short
Preparation
Primary Weapon: Mace and one-hand axe are recommended, besides a sheild is necessary. (don't ask me why not two handed weapons or two-handed sword, you will be clear in the following explaination.)
Secondary Weapon: Bow of course.( dont forget to buy some arrows)
Armor: To face the golem's awful damage, the better way to keep your character

For newbie only, it the basic tactics really. It was not written by me, but I have no idea who wrote this either, so if anyone knows, tell me, and I will make an explaination  White Spiders/Foxes/Raccoons (Easy): 1.Run up to a target and hit all you can before it falls to the ground (You can use smash instead if you think your Smash skill is stronger.) 2.Keep a distance from the target 3.Watch the target's reaction 4.If the target charges at you, keep running until it slows down or else do step 5 5.Use Defence skill and wait for the target to charge again (Defence skill takes time to activate.) 6.You will be able to block its attack with your defence and then hit it as hard as you can again 7.Repeat step 2  Wolves (Tricky): 1.Run up to a target. 2.Hit all you can before the target falls to the ground. 3.Use Defence and keep a distance from the target immediately. 4.Keep an eye on your target and see if it flashes (it is using a skill when it flashes). 5.If the target does not flash and rushes at you after it has fallen, it is using a normal attack. Your Defence skill should be able to block it. Once you defended, do step 1. 6.If the target flashes and rushes at you right after it has fallen, it is

Firstly I shall say it's regretful some of us don't get accepted to the closed beta test in mabinogi american server, me included>.>I think those lucky guys would be excited after one day when they were firstly born to mabinogi world. What's the best way to hunt monsters? How to allot my Ability Points? What's the best skill? How to build up a nonsuch character? These will be hot topics I'm sure about that. Well, as following I will talk about a simple way to level fast, especially for newbies. STEPS 1) Accomplish all the newbie quests: follow the guide(there will be a owl leading you do quests and get rewarded), complete 10 newbie quests and you will level to 5 or 6, besides, you will also get extra AP as reward. 2) After newbie quests, buy yourself a sword, I recommend the glaive and backsword. 3) Get to Duncun, the chief in the village, buy some Grey Wolf Team Quest Scrolls 4) You'd better found a team, ask some one to join your team, and go to the south champaign of Tir Chonail 5) There will be a certain number of grey wolves that should be killed in the team quest scroll. It’s a bit hard for me to write an exact mabinogi guide with lots of information, because of some certain glossaries which I could not write in English, however, these will be all clear when the English version comes out. Days ago I had finished the Mabinogi National Geographic series, I hope it can be helpful to newbies though the series seems a bit rough, lol… Now I will introduce the base of Mabinogi, the first – Login This is the login screen   Then, you will select one character to start the game  OK, the following is the game interface  As you see, this screenshot contains most of control information, but in fact, there would be a little difficult for newbies to control when starting a fight with monsters, however, battle system is one of features of Mabinogi, I’m sure once you master how to fight, you will like it. We will talk about the battle system later. Basic controls and shotcuts    Well, I strongly recommend newbie to remember these shotcuts while playing in game.
