Invasion
This is the perfect mmorpg which I am looking for: Graphics: Instead of using textures and polygonic models, it will be based on something called a "Logic Engine", which is some sort of physics engine. It will be able to render the physical characteristics of objects accurate down to atomic and subatomic levels, in total compliance to the laws of science. As such, the things you see in the game are actually REAL simulations of objects with mass. World: The world map will be spherical, such that if you were to move in one direction, you will not come to an "end of the map". Map size will be about the size of the Earth's surface. Locations will be geographically correct, environmental effects are real and will vary depending on physical conditions (such as REAL evaporation of water to form clouds). The entire map will be permanently destructible (digging up soil will leave a pit in the ground). Altitude, temperature, air pressure, and air composition will all be calculated and will have simulated effects on the environment (You will suffocate at high altitudes). Character & Class: Character will be totally dependant on a generated DNA code. Character will sustain real damage from combat (You get hit on the head, you die. your neck gets cut, you die. your heart gets pierced, you die. you lungs get punctured, you die. you bleed too much from wounds, you die). Character will experience real body conditions (chronic illnesses, cancer, temporary sickness, etc...). Class will not be predefined. You excel on whatever you train. No fixed classes. Class will depend entirely on skills learnt and to what extent they have been mastered. NPCs: NPCs will be the same as characters except they have adaptive AI. They will respond accordingly to real situations. They will experience emotions which will affect their behaviour. NPCs will move at their own will. NPCs have a collective mind and will act based on their gathered knowledge. NPCs include all organic entities in the game, such as enemies, neutral entities. Gameplay: Players will be able to do anything as they like. They can carry out specific tasks (like searching your bag for a coin). Available actions will be dependant on environmental situations and circumstances (if you see a door knob, you can try to turn it). Player will be able to create his own items using available raw resources. Items will be designed by the player himself (there are no such things as object "models" in the game). Character itself will be an organic entity, will require food and basic necessities to survive. In all, the game will be somewhat an exact simulation of planet Earth and the laws of science.
