ZERO: Ten Reasons for Loving you - Full Review from Mmosite

Imagine you're a Jedi Knight, wielding your laser sword to send plasma bullets like lethal peanuts back to your enemies.

Imagine you're a warrior encased in hard amour. Wielding a one-man-long great sword, you penetrate enemy positions and wipe out enemies like mowing the lawn in front of your house.

Or imagine you're a teenage mage in cute dress. When you cast AOE spell, cute pink octopus will glitter with colorful stars, and then a pair of white shining wings will unfold on your back. Don't be upset. It doesn't mean you are killed. It means you gained a level.

Believe me, in Zero, you will experience extremely quick robot fight you've never seen before in other robot games. In this vast universe, no one will test your guilty feeling using a ring-shaped cake like the cocky spy 007. You have to give up other thoughts than fighting, because alien enemies will pour in like waves. You have to carry your photon weapon to smash hundreds and thousands of invaders into dust.

Through half a month of trial play, I find I have fallen for this game and I recommended it to many robot fans. With more and more friends joining the game, we formed our own fleet. Maybe you'll ask, what makes us crazy for this game? OK, I'll confess to you now. The following are the 10 reasons for my craze for Zero.

1. Low system requirements

Maybe you can't afford a Ferrari, but a PC with Celeron 2.4G CPU, 512MB Ram, 60G hard disk and on-board video card must be nothing to you. To be frank, it's not easy to find such a [lame duck]. But actually what I want to say is Zero can run smoothly at any PC where office 2007 can run smoothly.

2. Easy to access

If you are annoyed of being treated like an abandoned baby, then beginner quests in Zero will sure give you a warm feeling. From the time you're born, you'll receive a series of instructions and beginner quests which are easy to complete and will win you decent rewards. The most important is that you don't need to cross the vast map to find a certain NPC. You only have to click on [Auto Pilot] button on the top-right corner of the game interface and select an NPC, then the auto pilot system will take you to there automatically.

3. Enjoy monster killing

There are countless monsters waiting for you in Zero, no matter it's in the newbie area or in Green Planet Base. Here, I want to make specialmention of XP skills in Zero. XP skill will be activated every five minutes and it will last for about one minute each time. I'm sure you've never seen so splendid attack skill in other robot games. When the XP skill is activated, your attack will increase at least by eight times. In addition, different weapons have different skills. With XP skill, you can fight the monsters you dared not to fight before. The number of monsters you kill will appear in the bottom right corner of the screen in the form of KO Count. And your experience points will soar up. For example, once I used machine gun XP skill in Green Plant Base during fighting, and KO count indicated that my KOs is 258. Guess how many experience points I gained? Hold your breath, I gained 1.9 billion experience points!!! My favorite XP skill is machine gun's destructive ray. Try it yourself and check out why. XD)

4. Fast leveling

Astonished at the Chinese WoW player's reaching lvl 70 within 23 hours? You'll experience even higher leveling speed in Zero. You can receive numerous quests form quest NPC which are easy to complete. Every time you complete a quest, you'll receive 30% of the experience points of your current level as a reward. So, it's a piece of cake to gain 100 levels in 23 hours, not mention 10 levels.

5. Dazzling graphics

Zero adopts top-class 2D graphics engine to produce gorgeous light and shadow effects. Different skills and weapons will produce different effects. Glittering long-range gun, dazzling melee lance, destructive ion storm and nebula crusher, etc. Every type of skill will bring unexpected effect. The higher level your skill is, the more dazzling effect it will bring. If you are still unsatisfied, then here comes XP skill which will increase your attack by 8 times and enhance effect by five times. No words can describe my feeling about the XP skills in Zero.

6. Safe for newbies

Nowadays, it's not safe even in World Trade Center or Pentagon. But I'll recommend two safe places for you. The first is your refrigerator, because it's strong enough, anti-collision and resistant to heat. If oxygen is guaranteed, you can stay there for half a month. The second is the world in Zero. In Zero, no units below lvl 100 are allowed to engage in PK and are immune to PK, which means, during this period, you can travel through the territory which is under the control of another fleet freely.

In addition, you'll never get lost in Zero. Wherever you are, click [Auto Pilot] button on the top-right corner of the game interface and select your destination, the auto pilot system will take you there automatically.

7. Rich gameplay

Can you imagine how many types of gameplay there are in Zero? Only exp grinding and equipment upgrade? You're wildly wrong. In Zero, there are more than ten types of gameplay. Apart from the conventional monster killing, there're starting area quests, instance quests, weekly PK contests, fleet battle and festival quests. In addition, there are weapon and gear upgrade, combination of cores, equipment scale-down, funnel control, gear bonus, family build up, guild build up, marriage system, peddle system, etc. So, are you ready? Every time you log in, you'll have lots of choices. But whatever you choose, you'll find fun and become crazy about it.

8. Transform freely

You can transform into Chevrolet Camaro, 18-wheel container truck, tank, mechanized beast, off-road jeep, and more and more. With new units and weapons coming out, we'll see more cooler transformation forms. When you are in transformation state, you'll gain a lot of unexpected bonuses. For example, in the form of mechanized beast, every attack will absorb certain power from the enemy, which will be transformed into your own HP; in the form of off-road jeep, the attack of machine gun will turn into fan shooting from burst fire; in the form of fighter plan, its missile attack will bring more destruction to its targets. But don't ask me about the bonuses gained from other forms of transformation. Because there are far too many transformation forms, I haven't tried every one of them.

9. Intense PK

How long does it take to finish a PK in Zero? One minute, two minutes or five minutes? Let me tell you, it only costs 10 seconds! In most situations, a set of combo skills will determine the outcome of the fight. In Zero, no class is bound to win in PK and no skill is undefeatable. Only with rapid response and accurate control can you win the final victory. I'm not a PK fan, but I often strike back using the following combo skills, Burning Sky-->Galaxy Phantom-->Aurora Explosion. You'll find that you can take advantage of Galaxy Phantom to make up the cool down time between Burning Sky and Aurora Explosion. In addition, you can use the invincible leaping action to dodge away from enemies' attack. In Zero, it is very import to create combo skills based on the characteristics of different skills. One hundred pilots will have one hundred different fighting styles.

10. Free to play

Yes, you're right. Zero is a F2P game and will F2P forever, which means you can play it without paying a penny. And different from other MMORPGs out there, Zero Online offers a variety of currencies. Apart from galaxy gold, you can buy items using gems, pink, blue and purple, dropped by monsters. But of course, if you don't bother to collect gold or gems yourself, you can buy them from the item mall so as to level up faster.

I still have my eleventh and twelfth reasons for my craze for Zero, but I'd rather leave them to you to check out yourselves. Anyway, Zero is really a game which deserves your try. If you're fed up with peculiar looking creatures in fantasy world or pink stars in Kitty games, Zero is your best choice.

I'll end this review with a classic line in Transformer---No sacrifice no victory!
