By lentz Many of you out there are wondering about the coming PvP. Who will be the winner and how it will be. Based on my experience playing at servers outside of US, let me give you a heads up on the topic. This information is accurate only to the current implementation as Indy constantly changed many aspects of the game per user rants many times before.
Personally, I think focusing on PvP before EC is not very fun or practical to all classes except nukers. Before EC level stats are very unbalanced. You can be a winner at a few occasions but believe me when your opponent out level you by some, your optimal PvP stats won’t work anymore. Once you pass or at EC level, you can start creating your own stats for PvP without compromising PvE too much.

Many believes that having high dex is the key to be a winner at PvP. Short answer is NO. You may have luck on your side at low levels but it won’t last for very long (My personal experience is that I don’t really need more than 150 dex on the current implementation. Not against mobs, not against other players). But you’ll need to have 250 STR to be more effective in PvP and PvE.
At GB6, you can have 250 STR and 150 DEX if you left con/ess/wis stats at 8. So by EC1, you’ll have 30 stat points to create your own stats. Warriors normally give those extras to dex as they have no need for other stats (some give those to con). Healers/hybrids give those to ess to be better at PvE (makes them last longer) but some starts to build PvP stats by giving those to wis. You may find this odd but it works well. Giving even only a few wis make hybrid’s CK ability quite effective on PvP since other players don’t have wis anyway (again except nukers). Before the above reference level, PvP winners are often warriors if not considering wep, items, elixirs or any other help a player can get (BoT hybrid can be very strong at PvP due to their weapon damage in addition to the class CK skills). But once you pass the level, things will be very different. Warriors no longer can be winners in PvP as there will be much stronger hybrid PvPers.
At high level play grounds of this game, there will be two classes dominating the PvP aspect of this game. One is a group of hybrid with nuke skills with wis stats and the second is nukers (Rare but I have seen some strong healer class PvPers using CK skills. But in order to do this, healers need to be at very high level).
So, why hybrids and nukers are so strong in PvP? 1. If a hybrid is at EC1, the player has enough defenses from physical damage. Even a crimson snake level (120+) warrior can’t easily kill such a plyer in short time. During the time, only thing the hybrid need is a CK (with freeze side effect) hit. And the effect remains for a while. You’ll know what to do after that. Even with low wis assignment, the CK skill works well against other players. Guess what will happen if you’re the warrior. You’ll be standing there bleeding until you get killed. Only thing you can hope at that time will be getting killed by the hybrid not by other field mobs to save your exp (Another thing makes hybrids more difficult to fight against on PvP. Unlike nuker or warriors, hybrid can have mobs kill you during PvP). 2. Unlike other classes, nuker’s stat can be completed at earlier levels. The most critical stat for nukers is wis and the wis will be maxed out on FD level. Nukers do need ess but not as critical as close combat classes need on STR/DEX. Once nuker has 250 wis and 3 nuke skills (the last RL one and two FD ones) at lvl 10, they won’t miss CK attack on PvP against most targets and their CK damage will be very high. If a nuker is at high level, one can decide to build defenses and be the king of PvP. Once I saw a nuker who had a fight against three lvl 120+ warriors by himself and kill them all. He was much lower level than the three warriors but he had quite high defenses as a nuker.
I didn’t mention much about healer. Mainly due to the fact that the class has no skills for PvP, healers are normally really bad at PvP.
What if a warrior build CK defense by giving wis? On the current implementation, you can’t really build enough CK defenses that can actually protect you from CK attacks. Wasting stat points on wis will only make you weaker on PvP against your class/healers/hybrid with no CK or against mobs. Your best bet would be to build friendly relationships with others^^.
Don’t argue that the warrior class should be the strongest in MMORPG blah blah… This game is supposed to be the first true martial art MMORPG that is different from other fantasy MMORPGs. In many martial art stories (if not all), warriors with strong physical skills are only good at low levels (And easy to build. That is true in this game). So the game is perfectly in-line with martial art story lines.
What about PvP at low levels? This is something that I have no interest at all so I have no comment on this one.
PvP system in 9D. This information can be very different in the US server when implemented. In Viet and Korean servers, there are four PvP allowed maps (BP, the third map on each side, and a shared fourth map). Per Indy’s plan, from the fourth map black and white will share maps for grinding and those maps will be PvP allowed. [Source] Official Forum
