WOMAN LOVES VIDEO GAMES MORE THAN HER 1YEAR OLD SON

A Kennesaw woman has incontrovertibly proven that videogames are better than children after being arrested for abandoning her one-year-old son in a vehicle so she could get a gaming fix at a nearby gas station. According to police, the baby was alone in a van for over twenty-five minutes while she played the day away.

Susan Dianne Betancourt has been arrested on charges of child cruelty and is currently being held on $3,000 bond. When she was arrested on Wednesday, it was discovered that she'd left the van window rolled down by about an inch. Police are advising that if you ever run into Betancourt on the street, you are to punch her right in her face. They are not advising that. They probably secretly endorse it though.

It's not known what videogame she was playing. Obviously if it was an old Aliens vs. Predator arcade machine, her crime would have been totally understandable.

I wonder what is worser not feeding children or leaving baby in a Van yes a similar thing happened a mother addicted to wow and she was wondering how to feed her kids if she need to do RAIDS ( I emphasis on NEED)

I would punt a baby to be able to play samuraii shodown 64 again. That baby needs to just consider itself lucky.

Last time I checked, 25 minutes isn't "playing the day away". Yeah, it's bad she left the baby in the car unattended, but there have been incidents where children and pets have been left in vehicles for far longer than 25 minutes.

@StrawberryJuice: this is the second place I see the news and the source of the article is one and the same and says:

KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) - Kennesaw police arrested a 56-year-old babysitter after a 1-year-old child she was keeping was found alone in a car in a gas station parking lot.

Police said Susan Dianne Betancourt of Kennesaw left the baby in a van for about 25 minutes to play video games inside the gas station.

She was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with child cruelty.

Kennesaw police said the van's front windows were down about an inch.

Betancourt was being held on $3,000 bond. Police did not know if she had an attorney.

As for leaving the baby - it is cruel but the fact is that the woman did not love that baby and love had nothing to do with this case.

anyway, whether its a mother or a babysitter; it is still cruel to leave a baby in a van. For goodness sake its a freaking baby its not some domestic pet =.=' Even domestic pets are treaten well.

Actually it was not her son but her charge. She was a babysitter, a rather careless one I might add but not the mother. She was running away from job and not from her child.
