Sega and Emaar Properties have announced a new joint-venture to create a number of indoor theme parks across the Middle East. One of them will be built in the Dubai Mall, one of Emaar's finest in terms of shopping places. Sega is following the template laid out from their previous amusement park, Sega's Joypolis Centre in Tokyo, Japan, and hope to make the place to have "one of the largest selections of games to be found anywhere Sayeth Sega CEO bigwig Hajime Satomi: 鈥淓ntertainment is about living dreams, it is about experiencing joy and culture. In joining with a company of Emaar's stature and power, we hope to convey the pleasure and excitement inspired by great entertainment to people all over the world.鈥They can afford to open glorified arcade centres in faraway places, but not put half of that amount of funding to make a decent next-gen Sonic, let alone a decent title?
