On Tuesday, October 21, 2008, the inhabitants of the world of EverQuest will explore the realm of time as they take a journey through the history of Norrath. Announcing EverQuest Seeds of Destruction, the 15th EverQuest expansion!

A shining portal leads to a distant future where Riftseekers have used the Plane of Time to corrupt the very fabric of reality. The world has been shattered into millions of pieces that spin aimlessly through the void. On the largest of these pieces is a shadowy figure tending to a lone seedling tree - the last living remnant of Norrath. This lone soul is the fallen god Zebuxoruk and the only being who knows the secret to repairing the shattered world.

To prevent the cataclysm and defeat the forces of chaos, players must journey through time portals to the greatest moments in EverQuest history. From the founding of Qeynos to the battle of Bloody Kithicor, players will be called upon to safeguard history and ensure that events unfold without interference from the gods of Discord.

Features

Along with the many new quests, items, spells, and alternate advancement (AA) abilities, Seeds of Destruction will include the following features:

  • Mercenaries - For the first

0 Digg it    Prepping for the EQII Tournament at Fan Faire
  Views: 30  |  Category : Default |  Post time : Aug 11, 2008    Comments: 0  |  Bookmark

Signups for Saturday's EQII Tournament will take place at Fan Faire on Thursday, during registration/badge pick-up.

If you are interested in playing in the tournament, and you would like to use your own character, please type /testcopy while you're logged into the game on the character you wish to compete with, sometime before Thursday.

There will be pre-buffed characters available for use for those competitors who do not /testcopy their character over before Fan Faire begins.

Doing a /testcopy of your character does not guarantee your place in the tournament. Signing up at Fan Faire is on a first come, first served basis and is the only way to get a seat in the tournament. Doing a /testcopy beforehand is simply to make sure your character gets copied over if that is the toon you want to play with and will simplify the process if you do end up competing in the tournament.

0 Digg it    EQ2: In Game Voice Chat is Here!!
  Views: 42  |  Category : Default |  Post time : Aug 04, 2008    Comments: 0  |  Bookmark

There is an in-game tutorial that can be accessed by typing /voice_tutorial. This will call up a window with a step by step walk through.

The first thing it allows you to do is to choose whether or not you wish to enable voice chat. If you choose not to, you can always change your mind later and enable it through the options menu (Alt+O) or by bringing up the tutorial again.

After choosing to enable voice chat, the tutorial prompts you to test and configure your microphone. If you don't have a microphone, don't worry. You can still use the client to listen.

Clicking on test your microphone pulls up a screen that measures your mic output. As you talk you should see the meter move. Click test mic once to start the test and then again to end it. You will then get the question: Did the meter move with your voice? If it all worked out, choose: yes, it worked fine. Otherwise, choose: no, there seems to be a problem.

If you have problems, the tutorial will help you troubleshoot. Once your mic is working you can test it again and then move on. The next screen allows you to record a brief voice clip to test your volume level.

Next the tutorial will walk you through the voice bar. First you cli

0 Digg it    EQ: Into the Depths of: Riwwi, Coliseum of Games
  Views: 42  |  Category : Default |  Post time : Jul 28, 2008    Comments: 1  |  Bookmark
Overview of the Riwwi, Coliseum of Games Riwwi, Coliseum of Games is one of the most interesting of all of the city areas of within the realm of Discord. Little is known about the past of Riwwi but it is currently used for the merciless slaughter of the Nihil. Before explorers can interact with denizens of this area, they must first rove themselves by participating in tests.

Background Lore Once a bustling arena used for hosting magic and athletic competitions, Riwwi, Coliseum of Games has been converted by the invaders into a fighting pit used for their entertainment. Native animals, enslaved Taelosians, golems, and the occasional invader battle to the death in the center to the cheers of a bloodthirsty crowd. The public areas near the coliseum are but a shadow of their former glory. The Defunct Bazaar, commons area, and performing amphitheaters are dilapidated, damaged both by looting and the earthshaking blast. Invaders use the bazaar stalls for storage of food and other goods and guard its contents carefully – mostly to maintain the required supplies for running the city. The gazebo has been taken over by the invaders and used as a place to punish and humiliate their

0 Digg it    Silkroad Guide: Cleric healing guide
  Views: 436  |  Category : Default |  Post time : Jul 21, 2008    Comments: 1  |  Bookmark

This is a piece of writing from Joymax Silkroad Online official site weekly best tips, the author is (Greece)Aisab

Title: Cleric healing guide

Objective:
Healing with no aggro.

Pros:
Being a tanker will feel secure that there will be constant healing while he tanks. Most of the time a stupid cleric will get aggro on himself which will result in healer running around and not healing. That leaves the tanker dead. This means the wizards will die if mobs are not tanked. And whole party will be disbanded eventually.

Healing skill that have no aggro:
Heal cycle. (the description says 150% aggro - it is bullshit)

Healing technique:
Here is how you should heal a tanker.
Always cast heal cycle on the tanker. (last 16 secs)
Do not cast any other spells on the tanker, heal cycle is enough. Prepare to use recovery if the heal cycle is not sufficient.

Recovery aggros, but usually when you use it on the tanker, he have already aggro the mobs around him enough for recovery not to aggro the mobs.

Healing other party members fast:
Other members maybe stupid enough to aggro the mobs around them. They will get hit and health will drop fast. It is impossible to select them and heal them fast enough.

Spells that do a

0 Digg it    AOC: Gaute Godager Interview with Eurogamer
  Views: 86  |  Category : Default |  Post time : Jun 30, 2008    Comments: 0  |  Bookmark

With Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures passing its one-month milestone, game director Gaute Godager has one of the most successful launches in MMO history under his belt - but the work is only beginning. A month of frantic patching has produced a more stable, playable, enjoyable game, but the weeks and months to come will make or break Conan, as Funcom strives to ensure that players are happy, entertained - and paying their subscriptions.

In the past fortnight, the team revealed some of its plans for the coming months, in the form of new content and systems for the game. Despite our heartfelt affection for Age of Conan, there's no question that Funcom still has much work to do, and many criticisms to answer - so we tracked down Gaute in his northern fastness (well, phoned his Oslo office) to talk about the launch, future plans, and the issues setting the game's forums alight at the moment.

Eurogamer: You've had somewhere over a million sales of the game in its first month - did you expect that level of success?

Gaute Godager: We've actually had over a million sell-ins, which means that that's the number of copies that have gone to shops. That's a bit different from sell-th
