Miss Universe 2009 ( the winner )

Miss Venezuela, Stefania Fernandez, won the Miss Universe 2009 contest at the Atlantis, Paradise Island resort in the Bahamas on Sunday.  She defeated finalists from Puerto Rico, Kosovo, Australia and the Dominican Republic. She was presented with her crown by Dayana Mendoza, Miss Universe 2008, who is also from Venezuela.

The 18-year old beauty became the 58th winner of the title in a show broadcasted  live across  the world from the resort’s imperial ballroom.
