It is another new week summoners, and with that a host of new champions to play. This week also features LuLu, the new champion that came out a few weeks ago, which is true to how Riot deals with them. Release them and make them in the rotation 2-3 weeks later. However this also comes with some somber news, at least for me. The new champion is delayed till next week according to an announcement in the forums. Which it is nice that they're trying to fine tune him and all, but sucks a bit since I just got the IP for him today.
But enough of that; it is a new week and there are other champions to play. This weeks picks from me are; Annie, Veigar, Xin Zhao, Miss Fortune, Yorick, and Lulu.
Lulu I actually got to try out today, and I have to say I do like her, which is why I am recommending her. She may be a Support/Ranged, but even so she can deal a substantial amount of damage when built heavy AP - the added slows and disable from her skills help out as well. I had mix results with her today, losing on the first game I tried with her and winning with the second. The first was just everyone's fault on our team (including my own), we weren't organized and just went our own ways a lot. The second turned out better since we did start sticking together by late game and ended up taking out their team rather easily.
Now Annie and Veigar, two more heavy AP champions with Annie needing a bit more HP for survivability, thought they both can benefit from having Hp from Rod of the Ages/Rylei's. Out of the two, I tent to use Annie a bit more for her burst damage stun combo by smashing Tibbers on a group of enemies, which surprises people a bit more than Veigar's field. On the other hand though, Veigar is very good for smashing down other Casters, considering his ult uses their own AP against them.
Now Miss Fortune and Xin Zhao, as some of you may know I love AD carries, and these two are always fun to play. Xin when built right, and not in the hands of a Summoner who plays like he rides the short bus, he can be rather devastating and can jungle rather well. Though people in 3v3s(I know how some of you hate 3v3s for some reason), I find him best on the top solo lane. Rather early and with his passive he can jungle rather easily and can take out dragon easily once he gets wriggles, even around level 6. As for Miss Fortune, she is a heavy hitter as well, and does amazing with crit and damage stacked. I can't tell you how many games we've turned around with her.
Last but not least, Yorick. He is great for harassing people and is surprisingly underused. Against an AD champ he can slow and do massive damage to them, often killing or denying them heavily before they really get a chance to do much. Building him AD with HP makes sure his ghouls get even more powerful and keeps down people even more so. His ult also surprises people quiet a bit, bringing back the carry that the other team worked hard to kill for a short second wind to take out and damage as much as he or she can do before going back to the grave.
Well, those are my picks and a bit about why for each, what are your picks for this weeks line-up?
