So I ignored the messages in the past, but one of my friends got me into checking out the tribunal for LoL. If you don’t know what it is, it is kind of the reigns being passed to the players to decide on if others get punished or pardoned.  You’re given the summoner’s name, their stats in the match(es),  a chat log, and how many people reported them on what side for what reason. It’s the players job from there to judge.

There is actually an incentive to participate in it, which actually was what got my friend interested in it in the first place, which was a Ip reward for correctly judging the summoners on trial. This however isn’t the best reason to get into it, since the purpose is to try to better the community, that and the amount you make by participating in the Tribunal is rather trivial. I got an email from them for correctly judging the cases on 32 trials and made a whopping 160 ip.

The work isn’t too bad and seems to be for a good cause, but I wonder how many really do get punished. Going by other players reactions, not enough it seems. Most people brush off reports and something that will never get action on it. Do you all feel the same? Being that I don’t actually know anyone who has been punished by it, it does seem rather lax, especially considering the language/ attitude of some.
