Console Star Wars MMO Looks like console MMOs are becoming the trend. Electronic Arts has confirmed that console versions of Warhammer Online and the recently-announced Star Wars: The Old Republic are under consideration.

Says EA's Frank Gibeau:

We're definitely looking at the opportunity to bring the MMO experience to console, without question. We've got this product, and we've got Warhammer at play.

So we're trying to look at the primary research required to understand how would you deploy it, what the client size looks like, how big is the back-end, what the play experience looks like... Once we've got some of those questions answered, we'll be able to decide which is the right play to go after.

However, he did end with: "We're not really in a place to commit or announce anything specific with regards to those."

So it sounds like the ports stand at a very solid "maybe." It would be sweet, though.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King - Image 1

Blizzard has announced that there will be no Honor resets in preparation for the upcoming release of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King. This was revealed by blue poster Bornakk on the official World of Warcraft forums. Here's Bornakk's post verbatim:

We had hoped that the introduction of some new Honor rewards in the upcoming patch would give players a great opportunity to spend any of their remaining Honor. However, many players would still be surprised by an Honor and token reset as it isn’t something we’ve done in the past. As such, we've decided to not reset Honor or tokens upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King. Players who save their Honor will be able to spend it on level 80 rewards, although those rewards will be significantly more expensive than their level 70 counterparts.

There you have it. If you're planning to gun for any of the new Honor rewards in Wrath of the Lich King, better start saving up those Honor points now. The Wrath of the Lich King expansion hits retail on November 13.
