Dynasty Warriors or otherwise known in Japan as Shin Sangoku Musou, is a game about the history of China. It takes place during the Han Dynasty!!! The game focuses on three Kingdoms fighting for the land, these Kingdoms are Shu, Wu and Wei!!! They allow you to play a selection of modes. There is Musou Mode, which allows you to learn the character's story, free mode, when you juss want to play as a certain character in a certain stage, and challenge mode, which has a number of challenges for you to accomplish. The game teaches you more about history and at the same time letting you have fun!!! In the game, they also give you cut scenes so you can have the feel of watching a movie, which is great cuz graphics for me is a big deal!!! In the game they give you starting characters and make you unlock the rest!!! You can do so by finishing a mission perfectly, or even playing as another character!!! I am currently playing their most recent game, Dynasty Warriors 6!!! I find that with every game Koei makes they always have to do something new. Now every character has a new look and some even have new weapons. They also changed the characters combos, making everyones combos infinite!!! They also added on a Renbu meter, that gives the character more combos as your combo number increases!!! Not only that, but, as you go through the stages you can also obtain tombs which gives your character a special attack!!! Though Koei made many great changes in the new game they also had to cut some characters!!! The cut characters were Da Qiao , Xing Cai, Jiang Wei, Zhu Rong, Meng Huo, Zuo Ci, and Pang De, they said the reasons were because they needed to make room for the new updates and because they wanted to make it more historically accurate, with that said, I'm still mad but can do nothing about it, (pout)!!!
