Diao Chan, one of the four beauties of China. Alot of people claim that Diao Chans just a fictional character, but, she is in fact real. Her character did exist, and she did do everything that was mentioned in the game and the Popular novel. There was a maiden that existed and was said to be very beautiful, she also had relations with Lu Bu and had a reLee big part in bringing the Tyrant Dong Zhuo down. She was also known as a skilled singer and dancer. The only problem was that no one really knew her real name. It is said that the name Diao Chan was created because it was the name of the decorations on the Court officials' hats that she was in charge of.
Diao Chan was born during 169AD and was brought up in Luoyang. Diao Chan was a servant in the Interior Minister Wang Yun鈥檚 house hold. When her mother died, Diao Chan was adopted by Wang Yun. Their relationship was like an actual father daughter relationship. They truely cared for one another.
One day, Wang Yun was in his garden grieving because the coalition that was formed with 18 Lords to bring down Dong Zhuo failed to do so. Wang Yun鈥檚 health was also getting worst. Diao Chan was entering the garden and seen him, she then became worried for him. Wang Yun asked her what was wrong and she said that she didnt want to see him hurt anymore, and if there was anything she could do she would do it. She felt that she owed him for the life that he gave her in his home.
At that moment, Wang Yun had an idea. The plan was to create a rift between Dong Zhuo and his Adopted son Lu Bu. Diao Chan agreed to do it. Wang Yun then sent a golden headdress to Lu Bu and awaited him. When Lu Bu came to give his thanks, he met Diao Chan and was amazed by her beauty. Wang Yun told Lu Bu that he would give Diao Chan to him as his concubine and without hesitation Lu Bu accepted. Wang Yun said that he would send her to him as soon as possible. Later on, Minister Yun invited Dong Zhuo to his house for dinner, where Diao Chan would sing and dance for him. Dong Zhuo was immediately enchanted by her. Wang Yun put up the same offer as the one he gave Lu Bu, but instead of leaving alone, Dong Zhuo took Diao Chan with him.
It was not too long before Lu Bu would come along and confront Minister Yun. The Minister told him that Dong Zhuo knew about the former arrangement between Lu Bu and Diao Chan but took her anyway. Lu Bu was infuriated, but could do nothing. While the plan was still in place, Diao Chan would pretend to cry when she knew Lu Bu was looking. At times, she would also stare at him lovingly, which caused him to look at her the same way. One time Dong Zhuo caught Lu Bu staring at her when Dong Zhuo was ill, and instantly banished Lu Bu from the palace and was banned to never come back. Because of their advisor Li Ru, Dong Zhuo and Lu Bu made ammends. But this didnt stop Lu Bu from thinking about Diao Chan, whom he believed was rightfully his!!!
Diao Chan and Lu Bu met again, where Diao Chan threatened to take her life and claimed that she was not fit to be with a hero like Lu Bu. Lu Bu stopped her and was happy to know that Diao Chan was true to him. This moment was interrupted by Dong Zhuo, who caught the both of them holding one another. Lu Bu was forced to retreat. Lu Bu went to Wang Yun and both of them planned the assassination of Dong Zhuo. Lu Bu planned an ambush with about 50, 000 people. Sooner or later, Dong Zhuo was slained by the hands of Lu Bu. This completing Diao Chan and Wang Yun鈥檚 plans.
Wang Yun was later executed by rebels seeking revenge for Dong Zhuo.
Lu Bu and Diao Chan were reunited, but, at the battle of Xia Pi, Lu Bu would meet his end at the hands of Cao Cao and his army.
Diao Chan was said to have been taken in by Cao Cao, and then given to Liu Bei and his Sworn Brothers as a gift. There are many thoughts of how Diao Chan died. Some say that Liu Bei and his Brothers fought crazily over her and Sworn Brother Guan Yu, cut her in half to end the feud. Others say that Liu Bei sent her back to her hometown when The Kingdom of Shu was established, where she died peacefully...
