Welcome to Chaos Online. Are you new here? This article might be helpful to you before you start the dark journey. In Chaos online, a series of functions are designed to make novices comfortable. It is very easy to start.

1. Quest Guide

Quest is the main thread of Chaos Online. Once you follow the clue of Quest, you will find the story unfolding gradually itself.

1.1 Query quest

Well, as a novice, how do you know what quests you can do, and how to pick up quests?

Simply, press the hotkey “Q”, the Quest Panel will pop up. Then, select “Query” to see which quests are suitable to you.

1.2 Pick up quest

After you know what to do, the next thing is to pick up this quest. What you need to do is left-clicking on Source NPC, and you will go to the Source NPC directly. Similarly, you can click on Target NPC when you want to submit a quest.

2. Navigation

When a player is born in the Novice Village, he or she will first undertake the quest “Just Arrived”. This quest is aimed to help familiarize players with the game world as soon as possible. One thing to keep in mind is that players can use Navigation function to get started on this game. Playing with this function you will never get lost. Just open the Quest Panel and click on the desired NPC, then you will go to the point automatically.

Besides the navigation on quest window, you can also navigate through the Map window. Press hotkey "M", then you will see the "Map window". Finally, left-click an NPC or a place you want to go to.

3. Team

In Chaos Online, we strongly recommend that players form a team to fight. Once a team is formed, all members of the team will share Exp when killing monsters or doing some quests. This will also give players more chances to exchange some fighting or looting experience.

3.1 Form a team

If you wish to form a team, just move the curser over the character’s icon of a player and right click to bring up a Menu and select” Invite to Team”. If the target player accepts your invitation, both of you form a team.

3.2 Set team

Press hotkey “T” to bring up a panel where you can set team options to optimize your experience and item pick-up.

4. Crystals

Crystals is one of the important materials and it is created by Energy. When you absorb Energy, it can be stored in the Energy bar, if this bar is full, you can use the skill named "Crystallize" to turn the energy into a Crystal.

When the players absorb star powers, the energy bar at the left side of the icon will turn to blue. Now, use the skill of Crystallization to produce one Lv1 Crystal   by consuming a unit (Crystal Ball) of Energy

5. Compose Crystals

You can compose crystals together to create high level crystals. To do this place 2 or more crystals of the same level into you’re “Magic Cube” and press the Orange button in the bottom right to compose the Crystals. The more crystals you use the higher your success rate is to get a higher level Crystal.

When you put six Crystals of the same level into the “Magic Cube”, the success rate of composition is 100%.

6. Crafting

Crafting is one of the major means to obtain equipment. You can go to the Blacksmith to select which equipment you wish to craft. The picture below shows the materials you have collected.

If you have all the materials needed to craft a piece of equipment, you can add Crystals to craft more advanced equipment. When you add Crystals, you will then see the success rate of crafting.

7. Robot

In Chaos Online, Robot function allows players to kill monsters automatically. So when you undertake a quest necessary to kill a large number of monsters. You can go to the relevant place and set your Robot to auto-attack the monsters.

There are special items you can find that will allow your Robot to replenish HP and MP, auto-pick items and auto-turn Energy into Crystals.

8. Reinforcement

When you reach level 17, you will take a quest named “Leopard Beast”. Once you completed this quest, you will be rewarded with a Reinforced Stone. Open your “Magic Cube” and place your equipment in the Sun slot and the Reinforced Stone in the Moon slot and then click the orange button. If composing is successful, your reinforced equipment will be put in your inventory automatically.
