As you may know I am exited to see a marvel game be released as an MMO. During the time that you read, I will be giving out my thoughts and opinions about the game in how I like it so far. I will give a bit of detail on how the overall game looks so far through various videos, trailers and pictures as I have not yet been given a key to participate during the closed beta. I will be sharing various information regarding the game but if you don't want to read anymore and want to sign up for the closed beta season then you will have to wait until your account is verified.

    The story line of the game revolves around Dr.Doom trying to use the Cosmic Cube which could shape the world into his image.Therefore, he has lined up villians from across the globe to prevent the super heroes from interrupting his plan. Your mission is to unravel Dr.Doom's plan and stop him before the worse happens.

    As far as this game looks, it looks like any casual point and click games. But what really set this game apart from the majority of MMO RPG, is that this game is similar to Diablo. Since as posted on the main site it says:

Marvel Heroes is a free-to-play MMO Action RPG created by David Brevik, the visionary behind Diablo and a team of industry veterans assembled specifically for this project.

    This is interesting as Diablo fans, or players who are interested in games that has a similar style to diablo, will have a chance to play a marvel universe style with unique characters fighting in the same way as in Diablo. Just watch the video and you will see that you have to point and click to move and to engage in attacking. Also by giving us a skills list by using the numbers 123456 we can use multiple abilities that is unique and special towards our character. Although this is interesting, I find that I would prefer an FPS style of game play as it takes more effort to kill and moves such as the iron man beam will look pretty darn cool when fired at enemies. Regardless, this action RPG style gameplay that takes place in the marvel universe is exiting as you can team up with friends and fight waves of enemies. One really interesting factor is that the environments changes slightly everytime you play, which makes no repetitive map gameplay. Although this is an interesting factor, perhaps having some maps that changes dramatically like the weather, season, and even sunrise/sunse would be pretty cool. If that feature is added perhaps have some map effects too on the player, such as high winds that will make Hawkeye's arrow alter direction, or during the rain storm's thunder strike is much more dramatic and flashy.

It is interesting as it says,

    This is great as I can play Iconic heroes such as spider-man and even learn a bit about other marvel characters that I have not recently seen or heard about. Seeing squirrel girl for the first time, gives it an interesting feel as I never knew a character like this existed. Hopefully a lot of heroes can be played soon as by just seeing Cable on the list surprised me as I never really see cable that much. But one thing that disappoints me a bit is that this game is called Marvel Super Heroes. If it was called Marvel Universe instead of Marvel Super Heroes locking the ability to choose a villian now is impossible as we are forced to play as a hero instead of villains such as Carnage and Venom. But I can say one thing, this game is great as it gives us a chance to play as the super hero that we want, rather than making our own. I have also read somewhere that there will be at least 8000 character customization. So get ready to make your super hero unique to your taste.

    The map alone is very important in the gamplay factor as nothing is better than having maps that was seen inside comic books or was an icon in marvel's super hero battles. As posted online

• Visit famous locations from the Marvel Universe, from Avengers Tower to Mutant Town to the Savage Land.
• Smash through hordes of iconic Marvel enemies, such as the dreaded Purifiers and the legions of HYDRA.
• Face off against dozens of super-villains (soon to be revealed).

This is great as we are given a chance to fight iconic marvel enemies such as the sentinel and by doing so the sentinel gives out better loots. But be warned it is much harder to kill, let alone that it will spawn randomly. The maps interaction is also great as certain characters like the Hulk and Colossus can pick up cars to throw at enemies. Another thing, by having the actual voice of the character being played when certain moves are used is pretty cool feature in this game. Just hearing Pineapple Surprise by Deadpool throwing grenades can liven the mood when things get too serious. So far, having 23 super heroes gives us player a wide variety of characters to choose from. I can imagine having at least 30~50 super heroes by the open beta season if this game becomes more popular over the months.

    Free 2 Play, yeah I said it, this game is coming out as a Free 2 play game. No cash, just time and dedication with a cash shop option. This is great as players like me who want to play a Marvel MMO game without the hassle of spending any cash can play easily. But I am just hoping that the cash shop will have items that will be interesting and worth buying without ruining the game. Ruining by making cash shop purchases much more powerful than finding it ingame.

    Overall, I am exited for the release of this game as I will have a chance to play as one of my favourite super heroes. With its unique Diablo style gameplay and with iconic marvel maps this game is dedicated to the fans and soon to be fans of the franchise. Although nothing is better than having a free to play game, having a lot of super heroes to play makes this game worth while. With every character and their respective powers, I would prefer DeadPool out of the 23 Super heroes currently. Captain America and Cyclops comes close but hopefully the developers will make the game much more entertaining with DeadPool's unique and fun attitude. So are you ready to stop Dr.Doom before the inevitable happens?
