WindSlayer.....Maplestory, Which is which?

Category: omg Game: MapleStory Posted on May 09, 2008 9:08 am

WHICH IS WHICH

WHICH IS BETTER?

WHICH IS THE REAL DEAL?

YOU DECIDE!

I've been tasked with trying to figure out if either is a copy of the other, or if they just have been an extreme coincidence!

Looking at things such as screenshots, it seems both are extremely similar, both graphically and atmoshperically.

Now, I've played neither of these games, so I apologise if I have any of the info below mixed up or associated to the wrong game.

Played either? Do they seem as if they have copied EACHOTHER? Or has one been lazy & ripped it off the 'competition'?

MapleStory seems to be more popular, although WindSlayer seems to be gradually gaining support & more players every day.

Other than the 'Side scrolling' part, what is the same?

Well.......

People seem to prefer MapleStory to WindSlayer, mainly because of it's simplicity & ability to lvl quickly without constanst grinding, which gets pretty dull pretty quickly.

players comment:

too grindy and too similar to ...u know what

it literally takes 1 whole day to grind to lvl10

No one seems to think they have a large enough contrast to be seen as seperate games.

Another player's comment:

This game is somewhere inbetween maplestory, ghost, and la tale.

At Maple World, hunting and engaging in battles are not the only options you'll have.

You can explore a totally new and unknown world you have never been to, put on beautiful clothes and gorgeous accessories, and even attract other users in the process. You may begin the journey to explore the world of unknown alone, but you may come out on the other end with numerous new friends through hunting and chatting. If you're tired of hunting and competition, how about playing minigames with a friend for a change?

Now look at the video below, it is of the game Windslayer, Do you think it looks anything like Maple Story. others seem to think so.

I'm working on some stuff for WindSlayer online atm.
Not alot of people know much about it, so for now, I'm gonna just research
it for a bit, then add it all in later.
Check back in  couple of days, I'll have stuff on WindSlayer by then!

grinding is a part of almost all mmorpg's i've played ...

anyway, i loved the pvp in windslayer because you get to earn points that you can use to buy some pretty cool items  in-game ... and another thing that makes me like windslayer more than maple story is that ... characters in windslayer are not midgets .. eheheh

*sigh* have you read the first blog in the mainpage? HAVE YOU?

I will not answer, and hopefully no one else, because this is just useless.
