Cabal Online is another Korean MMORPG. The game revolves around a fictional world with a pretty well laid out story line and plot that goes with it. There are also 6 different classes to play as and a fairly decent system put together. The game itself is mostly based on quests and are required to progress in the game. Without quests you will not get very far into the game. You will also eventually be forced into PvP maps so if you have a dislike of questing or PvP, this can cause serious problems.

Story:

This is my own interpretation because I gave up following the story by around lvl 60. The main quest follows your character who goes around aiding some prominent people in the past who are now disguising themselves as archaeologists. However, each member of the group holds a special position and influence over the others. As the story progresses, their role is more laid out and each chapter is summarized at the end with a scrolling text and background. The story ends in a pretty depressing way and lays out the current war in the world.

Graphics:

Cabal Online by now is almost 5 years old. The characters feel like they have a cartoonish feel to it without doing too much into it. Characte

Ah, Ragnarok Online. This was my first MMO and I have never gotten around to reviewing this until now for some reason. Most likely because of its decline in popularity since then and its shift from a concentrated server to illegal private servers due to poor management and support by Gravity itself. None the less Ragnarok Online is still a fairly enjoyable game due to its diversity. Its fairly old, but the graphics are fairly consistent. The only problem is the 3D backgrounds look dated while the character, monster, and weapon sprites continue to be improved.

Story:

Ragnarok is based on a set of novels but the game does not explain this. The servers (Chaos, Loki, Iris, Fenris, etc.) are all named after characters from the novels. Unfortunately the creator put the series to an indefinite halt.

Graphics:

The graphics are fairly dated considering this is an MMO that came out nearly a decade ago. The good part of the game is variety. This game provides lots of variety. Enemies come in large varieties although some of them are just recolored sprites. There are numerous hair styles to choose from and a variety of hair colors. Character body types are shared but various headgear can be obtain

Battle of Destiny is an MMO that was just released by Cubizone. It is another attempt at a 2D side scrolling MMO but completely different from those brought to you by MapleStory and Nexon. It plays more like a classical side scroller such as Turtles in Time or Streets of Rage from 2 console generations ago. For some reason, I feel that this MMO is poorly put together.

Story:

You are some new adventurer who just arrived on a boat. Prepare for your epic journey of some kind.

Graphics:

The graphics are in 2D for the most part but it looks very nice. There is a lack of character customization and equipment doesn't really show other than your weapon. Some heavier armor shows, but a lot of items don't seem to change the look of your character. If you want some items to show you have to do it through an NPC which can be annoying at times. Skill effects look great and there is a nice diversity for monsters, but for players, not so much. If you want to look different, you need to obtain Fashion items which will most likely be from the item mall.

Gameplay:

Character creation is basic. You start with a name and a basic weapon and then choose a hair style, hair color, and clothing color. Your basi

I hate to say this, but from all the experiences I've had with forums, Cubizone is by far the worst. Surpassing those of Acclaim and NDoors. Although Acclaim and NDoors don't pay much attention to the forums, they won't ban users for making comments or suggestions about the game. They will also at least read your post thoroughly. On top of this, I received NO notification that I was banned for an incident that happened about a day after my STEPS Review was published. I just could not log into my account. Now with the recent update to their website, they FINALLY mentioned that my account and email has been banned from their website upon trying to use it with a new email.

After a certain incident with STEPS, I recommend them to produce permanent non-rental clothing into the game without requiring the item mall because dance games without a permanent clothing option makes it impossible for players to show progress and players quickly leave. They responded that they will provide permanent clothing options through the item mall. After that I responded that I will take my desire for a decent dance game else where. The result? They banned my account. All for that one remark against
