I want to make you all aware of Dark Might Corruption, a problem that affects two people dear to me.

My little sister Tessa, registered Priestess known as Kukolka, is allergic to the Dark Might buff.  It gives her migraines.  She prefers only healing parties rather than killing monsters.  Even when she does help to kill monsters, she uses magic, not physical attacks.  So Dark Might, which amplifies only physical attack power, is useless to her.  But besides being useless, it hurts her.  She asks Dark Mages not to buff her, and for the most part they respect her request.  If someone doesn't respect it, she can usually get someone to help remove the buff.  In a dungeon party, she will just endure it for the duration so as not to endanger the party, but then she must rest afterward.

There have been rumours of a change to affect the magic in the world.  This change, so they say, would cause buffs to affect all people nearby, or all people nearby in the buffer's party.  This will hinder Kuko's ability to party with Dark Mages; possibly to party at all.

Worse than that, is the effect on my best friend, Bartuc, who is a half-demon Warlock.  He can buff Dark Might, but chooses not to buff himself with it, as he also uses magic rather than physical attacks.  He's also affected by the corruption, but instead of giving him a migraine, Dark Might causes him to become enraged and amplifies the need to take human life!  =(

There are people out there who can help.  These scientists, called "Devs" (not to be confused with Deva), have the power to stop the change from going into place.  Please, petition the Devs to do what only they can to stop the change in the functioning of buff spells.

Whether or not the Devs listen to us, there will still be Mages who don't know about Dark Might Corruption and buff others to be helpful.  For this reason, a cure must be found.  Anyone else afflicted with Dark Might Corruption, I urge you to come forward and share your stories.  If you are a scientist-adventurer, or have studied Darkness or Healing spells, you may have access to the knowledge we seek.  Let's work together to find a cure!
